PWTorch reader Noah DiPippa is filling in for Shane McKinley in the Absurdity of it All chair this week reviewing WWE & TNA. Check back for McKinley's return on Monday.

By Noah DiPippa, Guest Absurdist

Bringing Wrestling Back

The latest episode of TNA Impact included the return of Sonjay Dutt, Austin Aries's main event push continuing, and Cop-out Claire (special thanks to Shane McKinley) to...entertain? But, most importantly, there was actual wrestling! It's hard to believe in a world where wrestlers want to entertain, but TNA changed that. They delivered great wrestling, but could work on the storylines a bit, a/k/a anything involving Cop-out Claire or having Dixie Carter break out some acting tricks. But, nonetheless, TNA proved they would stay true to their word putting the "wrestling" back in wrestling, which is more than I can say for their idea to have the TV Title defended every week.

Gut Check: Exposing Pro Wrestling

Once again in Gut Check, TNA brought out a young wrestler to fight for his or her spot on the TNA roster. If you don't make it, your run is over, but if you get at least two Yes!'s from the judges, you get your picture on the website! The best part of these segments comes from backstage, though. I love hearing Taz talk about gimmicks. It makes me feel so insider! This week, a young Knockout make it through to to TNA. I'd tell you her name, but with the amount of time given to the loser of last month's edition of Gut Check during her segment, I couldn't really catch it. But, she is hungry! At least, the judges think so.

Daddy A.J.

Well, it seems that TNA's big storyline of the summer didn't have a big enough reveal last week. Lucky for the fans, this story is still going strong! Cop-out Claire is pregnant and the father is none other than A.J. Styles, according to Chris Daniels. There's so many ways they can go from here! Will A.J. and his baby take on Daniels and Kazarian for the Tag Titles? Will it be revealed Claire wasn't pregnant, but just had a bit too much cake from Serge's surprise party? Tune in next week on TNA Impact where all your questions will be answered! Except where has the TV Title been, who attacked Sting two weeks ago, where is Sting, why did Dixie Carter not reverse the tag match decision, and who is Alex Silva?

You Should Be Booing Yourself

WWE fans boo Vickie Guerrero for putting on a great show while they cheer Mick Foley dancing with Great Khali? What will they do next, cheer Cena as he pours BBQ sauce on a half-naked Michael Cole? If that's not absurd, I don't know what is! But, seriously, they're teaching the kids in WWE's fanbase to hate bad people, no matter what, and cheer good people, and if you're much stronger than your peer, strip him down and break out the condiments!

The Ultimate Comedy Act

WWE constantly tries to provide entertaining comedy bits that can be fun to watch, but nothing ever seems to get more laughs then the Divas! The only way they get their two minutes on a two-hour show lately is if they have a bikini battle royal. Oh, those Divas... Wait, they aren't supposed to be a comedy bit? Oh well, at least there's a full supply of #crazychick every week from A.J. Man, was that segment where Kane shot down A.J. awkward? I guess he wasn't ready for another WWE wedding.

Another PPV Dies

Who could forget last year's MITB ladder matches? It featured the start of an up-and-coming star's rise to the top as a main event threat when Daniel Bryan won the Smackdown MITB match to create very entertaining storylines down the road. And, Del Rio won Raw's MITB match. But, anyway, how about that new stipulation added to the match that only former World champions can participate in the Raw version? I can't help but agree with WWE's logic in this one. Hey, who doesn't want to see Cena as champ again? WWE doesn't need a future; they live for the moment.
