Absurdity of it All
ABSURDITY OF IT ALL - Raw: The Absurd Reveal Of Who Doesn't Want Trips To Be In-Charge, Punk Makes For A Lousy Wall Street Protestor, Sheamus: "What's a TNA?"

By Shane McKinley, PWTorch absurdity specialist

-The big talking point from Monday's Raw was the walk-out on Triple H. Some hated it, some liked it, and most didn't know it existed.

A person could say, "Oh, poor Hunter. Everybody's deserting him and he's just trying to do a good job. He almost looks like he's crying...sniff buh huh wuh wuh no words are needed sniff."

Another person could say, "Get these losers out of Trips's camera shot. Ya only need him."

The main problem I can see with this storyline is that either the Big Reveal will be a let down (say some McMahon-on-McMahon action) or that they keep dragging it out.

Yes, everybody walked out on Triple H. And nearly everyone has walked out of the WWE Title picture scene. They need to fix that mess.

I thought the positives of the "No Confidence" angle were that it played up to the male soap opera aspect of wrestling. What worked best was there was no announcing over it, no blatant screaming or shoving to the fans what they should think and feel regarding this situation. It was also something viewers hadn't quite seen before.

Negatives? It's really all about Triple H. You thought the game was over when Triple H retired from full-time wrestling?

Maybe I'm just bitter about Trips Pedigreeing Zack Ryder. You can't do that to a guy who drives around in empty parking lots singing songs like "Woos Like Ryder!"

You think things are crazy in WWE now? Heck, I voted no confidence when they made Mike Adamle the Raw G.M. How about when Raws were overtaken by lame guest hosts, personal vendettas, money give-aways, Diva searches, and other sorts of goofy nonsense that was bitter medicine to swallow?

Right now, I’m expecting the answer to be a future Triple H as the evil mastermind and then good Triple H will have to fight evil future Triple H.

"Wait, that doesn't make sense." Shad up, fool! You get two times the Hunter! Ratings will skyrocket, Linda McMahon will join the Senate, and UFC will crumble!

-WWE should want to see Miz and Truth capitalize on their new criminal aspect. I want to see them take some strides.

-C.M. Punk urges disgruntled fans to "show up" and do something, which is like saying to a Wall Street protestor, "Hey, you, show up to a Fortune 500 company and give them your money! That will show 'em!"

There's a strong notion of people "deserting the ship" these days. From investors selling Apple stock to supporters leaving President Obama, there's a healthy sense of, "Things are not right here, so I'm just gonna blow."

-Sheamus in a WWE.com exclusive: "I'm just not happy making six figures, so I'm gonna walk out and join...TNA? What the hell's a TNA?"

-That’s it for me. If Trips is still in charge by Halloween, perhaps the Muppets can give him a vote of no confidence, too. Hang your head in shame, Trips.
