Pre-Show Report
At the studio panel for the pre-show were Josh Mathews, Booker T, Alex Riley, and Kofi Kingston this month. In the background, the crowd picked up an early "C-M Punk" chant. Kofi opened things up by noting he wants to see Hornswoggle shaved bald tonight. on the pre-show.
Backstage: Hornswoggle prepped his hair while standing in front of a mirror with 3MB standing by hyping him up.
Backstage: Byron Saxton talked to Nikki Bella about how her sister, Brie Bella, is doing. Nikki said Brie and Daniel Bryan have been keeping to themselves throughout this week in anticipation of Bryan having to decide about the WWE World Hvt. Title.
Ringside: Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, and JBL introduced the pre-show match. No mini-color commentators this time around. On-stage: El Torito emerged dressed in a mini-Chicago Bulls jersey. Torito surveyed the barber chair ringside for Hornswoggle, then entered the ring with Los Matadores. 3MB's music then brought out Hornswoggle for the opener.
A -- EL TORITO (w/Los Matadores) vs. HORNSWOGGLE (w/3MB)
It was shirt vs. skin here, with Swoggle going shirtless and Torito still wearing his Baby Bulls jersey. The crowd played along with a "Let's Go Bulls" chant mid-way through. Ref Charles Robinson then got involved in the standard midget match spots. Swoggle argued with Robinson, so Torito gored him out of the ring to the floor. "Ole!" chant from the crowd. Heath Slater then chased Torito under the ring and Slater emerged on the other side with shears in his possession. More chaos. Then, Swoggle cheap-shotted Torito to take control.
Chaos broke out again with the outside participants getting in the mix. Ref Robinson lost control a long time ago, so the match continued. Swoggle then jumped out of the ring splashing bodies on the floor. Slater wanted to get in the mix, but Torito dropped Slater with a head scissors into a sea of bodies below.
Back in the ring, Torito dropped Swoggle with a Bronco Buster. Swoggle then blocked a corner move with a big powerbomb, but Torito kicked out. Swoggle tried to jump the gun pulling off Torito's mask, but below the mask was another mask. Torito then pinned a surprised Swoggle for the win.
WINNER: El Torito at 7:10.
Post-match: Torito put Swoggle in the barber chair ringside and began trimming Swoggle as Los Matadores helped out. Lawler said they have a PPV to start as the head-shaving went on. And on. There was a lot of hair to remove here. The wrap-up music eventually played as Swoggle remained half-bald.
Locker Room: Cody Rhodes and Goldust talked about needing to put their past in the past when they face Ryback and Curtis Axel tonight. Cody said he's been the problem and now they make it right.
Suddenly, Booker T got some "breaking news" in his ear. Booker told Kofi that he's been booked in a match against Bo Dallas tonight. The "bonus matches" of Rhodes Bros. vs. Rybaxel and Kofi vs. Dallas is making this seem like an episode of Smackdown. Live PPV up next.
