Justin Credible and readers react to Waltman's article on Hennig

The following letters are in response to yesterday's Guest Editorial: Sean Waltman remembers his friend Curt Hennig.

How right you are, Sean. Nobody could have said it better.

I want to thank Sean Waltman for writing about Curt Hennig, the man. Curt was one of the greats, a wrestler who could get you to buy into his character, whether heel or face. I still remember the AWA show when he turned on Nick Bockwinkel, clocking Nick with a roll of dimes. He was a great in-ring performer throughout his career, but Waltman's piece shows that he was also a great friend, and a good man.

What a beautiful piece written by Sean Waltman. I didn't know Curt, but he was by far one of my all time favorites and like Sean Waltman said I don't think any wrestlers death has been more shocking or painful to me.

Don't get me wrong it's always sad when one of the "boys" dies but in some instances it's not shocking. Davey Boy Smith's death sad but inevitable, Yokozuna's death sad but inevitable. Owen Hart's death and now Curt Hennig's death shocking and painful.

I've always loved Mr. Perfect (yeah, it's part of the female thing in me... great body... nice blue eyes), but all things aside his mat and mic skills were great and his presence was just overpowering. He was the "perfect" heel.

I enjoyed learning a little bit about his family and my heart goes out to them at this horrible, horrible time.

Thank you Sean for sharing. The world in general and the wrestling world in particular are now sadder, emptier places.

I would like to express my shock at the sudden and unexpected passing of Mr Perfect Curt Hennig. When I think back to his great run with WWE in the early '90s it brings back the warm feelings and memories of just how perfect he really was. I used to be glued to my TV as a kid watching him do his thing in the ring and even though he was a heel back then I always cheered when his hand was raised in victory. He was among the greatest of his generation if not the greatest. Even in WCW he still shined with his hilarious "Rap Is Crap" storyline. Rest in peace, Curt, in my eyes you always were and always will be "Mr Perfect." My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
