WWE Tough Enough TV Report
August 4, 2015
Week 7 on USA Network
Report by James Caldwell, PWTorch assistant editor

This week's Tough Enough opened with a recap of last week's show when The Miz saved Amanda for some reason, causing Mada to be eliminated. Tonight, Z.Z. is still alive, so he will continue to be berated by everyone involved in the show.

Live from Full Sail University, the remaining contestants were on the stage, as opposed to being saved for the end of the show. Hosts Chris Jericho and Renee Young were in the Tough Enough ring with judges Daniel Bryan, Paige, and The Miz in a bright red suit. Jericho hyped Bryan's best-seller book before Renee asked the judges to talk to the contestants.

Renee sent the show to footage from last week after the Tough Enough elimination. Giorgia talked about being stunned by Patrick and Mada's cuts the last two weeks. They focused on Miz being enamored with Amanda, keeping her on the show. Z.Z. then asked everyone if they just want him to go home. Tanner and Josh, the remaining males, told Z.Z. that it's not about sympathy, but wanting to see him step up and show more commitment. Z.Z. said he's tired of being pushed around by them.

Off to the training facility to meet with Booker T, Billy Gunn, and Lita. Lita talked to them about needing to show teamwork in today's challenge. Z.Z. lost his cardio, then messed up a hip toss, frustrating the trainers. Z.Z. made a comeback, though, executing a hip toss with some pizzazz. And then he messed up a tackle/drop down sequence, only to come back with a spinning 360 bodyslam. Oh ZZ.

Off to the ladies for Sara and Giorgia, who had a dispute over who botched moves. Amanda and Chelsea also had a dispute over who messed up their sequence. Josh and Tanner then finished the training session with some fast-paced work as Z.Z. watched in bewilderment. Gunn and Booker were fired up about their work.

Back at the Full Sail studio, the judges reacted to what they saw in the opening segment. The judges called out Z.Z. of course. Miz heeled on Z.Z. and WWE fans, framing the audience's affinity for Z.Z. as being lazy like him. Bryan sold being upset by Miz's comment, then Jericho went to break.

Back at the Tough Enough house, Josh and Tanner were shown playing pool. Josh said he wants to make sure that if they're cool, then Tanner has to be able to talk to the ladies better than he has shown on the show. They role-played Josh as a 6'8" woman who Tanner was trying to ease up to. And they moved on.

Off to the ladies for Sara and Giorgia hashing out their issues. Giorgia made a big deal out of being dropped on her back and labeling it being dropped on her head. Sara said she's tired of listening to Giorgia, then said maybe they'll find out if she has any fans if she makes the Bottom 3 this week.

Off to the gym for some work-outs. Z.Z. said he needs to be in the gym when he would rather be outdoors getting country strong. Josh gave Z.Z. a pep-talk about being dedicated to wrestling right now.

Off to a mock building for a fire drill put on by the Orange County (Florida) firefighters. The Prime Time Players then showed up to help the contestants with their challenge. Titus O'Neil talked about teamwork being essential in WWE, so this will test their ability to work together.

Team 1 featured Z.Z., who said he was a volunteer firefighter in Louisiana. They flashed through clips from each team's difficulties and then overcoming the situation. Z.Z. was given an endorsement for his work and Josh did most of the work for his team. Gunn said he thinks everyone did good work on this drill. Back to the house.

Back at Full Sail, Renee sent to more video footage. In this talking session, the guys sat around talking about their progress. Josh told Z.Z. to put in extra work at this point in the competition. Z.Z. said he's tired of being in the Bottom 3, then noted he wants to be a lone wolf, but he also needs Josh and Tanner's help if he's going to win this competition.

Off to the females for Amanda and Chelsea hashing out their issues. Amanda was in Conspiracy Theory mode wanting to know if Chelsea was intentionally trying to throw her off her game during the in-ring session. And the argument picked up. Chelsea had enough of Amanda flaunting in front of her, so she chucked a water bottle across the room.

Back to the Full Sail studio, Bryan said they both have their points, trying to be diplomatic, but sounding non-committal to a strong opinion. Paige said she's not impressed with any of the girls, as they all seem to be trying to sabotage each other. Jericho noted the guys are working together, interestingly. Jericho hyped Q&A with the contestants next.

Heading to break, WWE ran a spot for John Cena guest-starring on next week's Tough Enough. The spot said it will be Cena's first time back on WWE TV, suggesting he will not be on next Monday's Raw.

[Commercial Break]

Back at the studio, Jericho asked the judges to grill the contestants. Miz asked Amanda to step forward. He said he thinks he created a monster telling Amanda that she's hot, so tonight he's going to put her in the Bottom 3. Miz then asked Josh why he's trying to help Z.Z. Josh said he thinks it's his natural dad instinct trying to help him out.

Asked if he thinks Z.Z. is just working out for the cameras, Josh said it's possible. Z.Z. replied that he's lost eight pounds. He said he knows it took him a while to get started after not understanding the physicality needed for WWE. But, here is now and he's playing. Z.Z. rattled off today's workout, satisfying the judges.

Paige then called out Chelsea. She said she's not a big fan of Amanda, but it is about teamwork. She cut a promo on Chelsea, who tried to be on Paige's side with her reply, only upsetting Paige even more.

Bryan spoke next. He called out Sara for not saying sorry after slamming Giorgia, but called out Giorgia for over-reacting to Sara dropping her on her back and calling it a neck injury. Paige argued with Bryan, who said the footage clearly showed Giorgia not landing on her neck.

Jericho settled things down, then went to break before the judges announced their Bottom 3.

[Commercial Break]

Back at Full Sail, Jericho asked the judges for their Bottom 3. Bryan picked Giorgia for over-reacting to being slammed. Paige picked Sara for not showing proper etiquette. Miz randomly decided to change his mind and not pick Amanda, putting Chelsea in the Bottom 3 instead. Amanda survives again.

So, the Bottom 3 is Sara, Giorgia, and Chelsea. Sara used her 30 seconds to apologize to Giorgia. Giorgia followed with a promo talking about representing Australia and girls who were once too shy to pursue their dreams. She ran over her time, then Chelsea said she knows this is for her. She vowed to prove that she deserves this second chance to be on Tough Enough.

Jericho said voting opens now.

[Commercial Break]

Back on Tough Enough, Jericho said he finally gets to ask Z.Z. who should go home. Z.Z. picked Giorgia, and the other two guys picked Sara Lee. Jericho said voting is over, then asked the judges if they want to use a save. Bryan said no, but Paige used her save on Giorgia.

So, it was down to Sara or Chelsea. And the results showed 53 percent for Sara, 25 percent for Chelsea, and 22 percent for Giorgia, who got her answer that she does not have as many fans as the other girls. But, Chelsea is going home by virtue of Paige using her save on Giorgia.

Giorgia hugged Chelsea before Renee asked Chelsea about her elimination. Chelsea said she doesn't think anything went wrong, she just has to go through another roadblock to get to WWE. She also abandoned ship on her friendship with Sara, saying she thinks Giorgia should win for the females. Jericho then wrapped up this week's show and plugged Byron Saxton hosting "Tough Talk" on WWE Network after the show.
