WWE Main Event Results
October 21, 2014
Live from Wichita, Ks.
Report by Joel Dehnel, PWTorch contributor

Main Event opened with Michael Cole introducing the audience to the show. They then cut to the ring for a game of "How Well Do You Know Your Bro?" JBL hosted the segment in the ring where there was a red carpet and game show music playing. The Usos and Rhodes Bros were sitting across from each other, apparently to hype their Tag Title match at Hell in a Cell on Sunday.

JBL introduced both teams. JBL called Billy Gunn dumb because he couldn't tell the difference between The Usos in his intro. JBL introduced the first question for the Usos. The question was, "What would your brother be if he was not a WWE Superstar?" Jimmy Uso guessed football player and the answer was correct.

JBL then asked the same question to Cody Rhodes and his reply was "He is Stardust." Goldust then held up a picture of Stardust.

The second question was, "Who is your brother's biggest influence?" Jey Uso said Rikishi and the answer was correct, they then danced to Rikishi's music with JBL.

Cody Rhodes hissed at JBL like a cat, then JBL asked the same question to Goldust. His reply was "Yo." Cody then showed his board which said "Yo." JBL asked who yo was and Goldust said "Yo Mama." The crowd was absolutely dead here.

Time for sudden death. The next game is password. One brother must guess a word that's on the screen. The first word for The Usos was "Nasty." He then figured out the word after Jimmy Uso said JBL's mama.

The word for the Rhodes Bros. is "Milkshake." They could not answer in time and The Usos were declared the winners. The Usos superkicked Goldust and celebrated.

[JD's Reax: I suppose Vince McMahon found another show to place his comedy on.]

[Break]

1 -- R-TRUTH vs. TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya)

R-Truth took advantage early with a few shoulderblocks. Kidd made his comeback with a few kicks and punches and went for a quick cover. Truth exited the ring to thrust his hips and flirt with Natalya. Truth made his way back in and Kidd was thrown back out.

[Break]

Back in the ring, Kidd was in control. Kidd threw Truth outside and countered Kidd's attack, then took advantage back in the ring. Tyson pretended that he tweaked his knee to distract Truth. He then hit his finisher on Truth for the pin.

WINNER: Tyson Kidd at 5:43.

Vignette: The Wyatt Family.

[Break]

Bo Dallas is making his way to the ring and thanks everyone for a warm welcome. He pointed out that he is America's sweetheart and the man who beat Mark Henry three times, which makes him the new World's Strongest Man. All he had to do was Bo-lieve.

2 -- BO DALLAS vs. BIG E.

Big E. tossed Dallas, but Dallas countered and took control early. Dallas locked in a headlock and threw some knees. Big E. launched Dallas into a counter and began to make him comeback. Big E. then hit the Big Ending and finished with the pin.

WINNER: Big E. at 3:50.

Announcers: Cole and Byron Saxton went back to events on Raw involving John Cena and Dean Ambrose against The Authority. Then a video package from Raw aired.

Seth Rollins made his way to the ring with Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble.

[Break]

In-ring: Rollins was waiting in the ring. A video package of the Ambrose, Rollins, and Mick Foley segment from Raw aired. Jack Swagger then made his way to the ring with Zeb Colter.

3 -- SETH ROLLINS (w/Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury) vs. Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Colter)

Momentum went back and forth between the two until Rollins exited the ring. Rollins entered back and Swagger took control with a few shoulder blocks and tossed Rollins out of the ring. Rollins dropkicked Swagger and started to take back control in the ring. He then tossed Swagger to the outside and taunted the crowd.

[Break]

Back in the ring, Rollins took down Swagger with a few kicks. Swagger suplexed Rollins, but it wasn't enough to take control. Rollins jumped on Swagger's back and used a sleeperhold. He fell down and Swagger hit a big boot. He went for the Swaggerbomb, but Rollins moved and he put on the Patriot Lock until it was released by a rope break.

Swagger put Rollins on the top turnbuckles as they traded blows. Swagger then back body dropped Rollins and hit the Swaggerbomb for a nearfall. Rollins fell into the Patriot Lock, but quickly got to the ropes. Zeb suddenly was in a conflict on the outside, which distracted Swagger and Rollins hit a Curb Stomp for the pin.

WINNER: Seth Rollins at 10:12.

FINAL THOUGHTS: The opening game show segment was tasteless and one of the worst segments in a long time. Overall, tonight's show felt less like a Raw recap and more like where the bad ideas from Raw were dumped.
