Main Event opened with the Usos's theme music to bring out the WWE tag champions. On commentary, Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton noted the Usos's Open Challenge tonight, then the Usos spoke in the ring. Jimmy said the Usos want to get Uso Crazy tonight and compete. Plus, they want to be in the same category like the Hart Foundation, Road Warriors, Edge & Christian, and the team they took the belts from - the New Age Outlaws.
Jey Uso then opened the floor to the locker room to find a challenging team. After a pause, Ryback's music played and out came Ryback and Curtis Axel one night after being dismantled by Roman Reigns on Raw. Once in the ring, Axel took the mic to talk. Axel sarcastically applauded the Usos for their Open Challenge, then accepted. Ryback said play time is over and so are they.
Suddenly, Rob Van Dam's music interrupted. Apparently RVD found a tag partner? Van Dam walked out on-stage alone, then walked down to the ring to join the conversation. Once in the ring, RVD said he wants to challenge for those Tag Titles. Ryback sarcastically told RVD that it's called a "tag team match," so he needs a partner. RVD jokingly said he knew he forgot something. Wait, no he didn't. Here he is. Sheamus's music played to bring out the U.S. champion for a random partnership with RVD. "Sheamus and Rob Van Dam as a tag team?" Saxton wondered aloud on commentary.
Once in the ring, Sheamus got into a shoving match with Axel and Ryback. Tension, then Kane's music suddenly played. Out came Corporate Kane on-stage to address the situation. Kane said there's no reason to argue, as it will now be a triple threat for the Tag Titles. Kane assumed the position, waited for his music, and walked off. It's later tonight.
Announcers: Phillips and Saxton transitioned to a video review of the John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar feud.
[Break]
In-ring: Seth Rollins was introduced to the ring for the opening match. After a review of the Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose feud heading into Summerslam on Sunday, Kofi Kingston's music played to bring out a smiling Kingston apparently back to babyface mode post-Xavier Woods.
1 -- SETH ROLLINS vs. KOFI KINGSTON
Seth was the aggressor early on as Saxton noted it's transference of Rollins's anger for Ambrose directed toward Kofi. Seth got distracted by a "You Sold Out" chant, allowing Kofi to knock Seth out of the ring, then nailed a flip dive over the top rope. But, Rollins reversed control on the outside heading to break.
[Break]
Back from break, Kofi and Rollins exchanged pins until Rollins ran into a boot to the face from Kofi. Kofi followed with a flying forearm strike, then a bodyslam into the Boom Drop. Kofi called for Trouble in Paradise, but Rollins avoided. Kofi adjusted and nailed a turnaround splash, then tried to follow up in the corner, but Rollins faceplanted him into the turnbuckle for a two count.
At 7:30, Rollins set up Kofi for a Bucklebomb, but Kofi reversed momentum into a whip into the turnbuckles for a two count. SOS followed, but Rollins kicked out again. Kofi sold frustration following the nearfall, then got caught with a Bucklebomb. Rollins followed right up with the Curb Stomp for the pin and the win.
WINNER: Rollins at 9:17. Another solid win for Rollins heading into his match against Ambrose at Summerslam. Meanwhile, zero mention of Kofi's association with Xavier Woods from the announce team, so apparently that program is done for now.
Backstage: Renee Young brought in Sheamus and Rob Van Dam for a follow-up interview on challenging for the Tag Titles. Renee noted it was an "interesting" choice for RVD, who said it's been a long time since he's had title gold in WWE, so he figured tonight is the right time. (So, he gave up on singles titles?) And, for the record, Sheamus approached RVD. Sheamus said RVD plays it cool, while he likes to fight, so they'll complement each other. Sheamus walked off leaving RVD and Renee to share an awkward moment.

Video Review: Stephanie McMahon-Brie Bella feud leading into Summerslam.
In-ring: The Usos were introduced to the ring for the Tag Title match.
[Break]
Back from break, Eden Stiles handled formal ring introductions for all three teams before the opening bell sounded.
2 -- WWE tag champs THE USOS vs. U.S. champion SHEAMUS & ROB VAN DAM vs. RYBACK & CURTIS AXEL -- three-team match for the WWE Tag Titles
It was two men at a time, so the third team tried to tag a member in during the first portion of the match. RVD eventually knocked down Ryback & Axel with a top-rope dive to the floor heading to the opening break.
[Break]
Back from break, Axel and Sheamus brawled in the ring, then Ryback interrupted the scrap to work on Sheamus. Meanwhile, the Usos waited on the ring apron staying fresh while watching Ryback work on Sheamus to the tune of "Goldberg" chants. Tags to RVD and Axel, keeping the Usos on the outside. RVD took it to Axel, then RVD climbed to the top rope and an Uso tagged in on RVD.
Chaos broke out at 10:00, then bodies started flying to the outside. Back in the ring, Uso took down Axel with a Samoan Drop for a two count. He tried to follow with a top-rope splash, but RVD tagged in and thrust-kicked Axel for a two count. More chaos in the ring, including Sheamus with a Brogue Kick to Ryback.
In the ring, RVD dropped Axel with a thrust kick, then wanted a Five-Star Frogsplash, but Axel blocked him. Uso tagged in during the chaos, RVD eventually came off the top with a Five-Star, and Uso smashed a prone RVD with a top-rope splash to pin RVD for the win.
Post-match, the Usos stood tall in the ring before shaking hands with Sheamus and RVD to show respect. The Usos shined to wrap up the show.
WINNERS: Usos at 11:58 to retain the WWE Tag Titles. Fine main event match. A bit chaotic with three teams involved, but the end result was solid to keep building up the Usos as one of the top tag teams this year against very strong competition from other promotions.
