WWE Main Event TV Results
April 15, 2014
Nashville, Tenn.
Aired on WWE Network
Report by James Caldwell, PWTorch assistant editor

1 -- 3MB (JINDER MAHAL & DREW MCINTYRE w/Hornrocker) vs. LOS MATADORES (DIEGO y FERNANDO w/El Torito)

"That bull sure is horny," Byron Saxton kicking things off. Welcome to Main Event. Jinder Mahal walked out with Drew McIntyre and said this a bunch of bull. He said they have their own mascot. No sign of Heath Slater. Instead, Hornswoggle emerged playing the role of a rocker with shades, leather, and heel mannerisms. So random. This is what happens when there's a split crew for a Smackdown taping.

After a few minutes of action, Torito chased Swoggle into the ring and they did the old midget wrestling spot where the ref gets rolled up in the scrap. The ref escaped and called for the bell, apparently for a No Contest. Post-match: low-blows all around. Swoggle then took down Torito with a shoot move. Tom Phillips tidied things up by noting the match was thrown out.

WINNERS: Match tossed at 2:25. Big build-up to the Swoggle vs. Torito grudge match on Smackdown this Friday.

[Break]

Vignette: Bo Dallas is a winner.

2 -- SIN CARA vs. "BAD NEWS" WADE BARRETT

More pre-match mic work. This time, Barrett noted to Cara that he's facing the next Intercontinental champion. And, Sin Cara's friend, Scooby Doo, won't be able to help him. Oh dear. Barrett dominated the action, then finished off Cara with Winds of Change into a wind-up Bullhammer Elbow for the pin and the win.

WINNER: Bad News at 3:21. Total squash.

[Break]

Video Tribute: Ultimate Warrior.

[Break]

3 -- DIVAS BATTLE ROYAL -- #1 contender's match to Paige's Divas Title

Lilian Garcia announced that the winner will face Paige for the title at Extreme Rules. No A.J. Lee, who is off TV after dropping the title the night after WrestleMania, and no Brie Bella, who was on her honeymoon with Daniel Bryan. The battle royal came down to a Final Four of Tamina, Nikki Bella, Natalya, and Alicia Fox. Tamina cleared the ring to find Natalya, who took a fall off the ring apron to give Tamina the win and the title shot.

WINNER: Tamina at 3:25 to face Paige for the Divas Title at Extreme Rules.

[Break]

Raw Replay: Evolution reformed to fight The Shield.

This Friday: Hunter addresses matters on Smackdown.

[Break]

4 -- BIG SHOW vs. JACK SWAGGER (w/Zeb Colter)

Beforehand, Zeb Colter cut a promo on Cesaro, then on Big Show. Show then entered the ring with eyes on Zeb. A nice back-and-forth exchange followed, then Swagger locked in the Patriot Lock on Show. Show fought the hold, teased passing out, and eventually did a big power-out. Show ended up on his feet with a hand around Swagger's throat. Show then shoved Swagger off the ropes right into a KO Punch while standing on one good leg. Show pinned Swagger for the win to close out Main Event.

WINNER: Show in 6:00. Actually, a pretty solid match. Nice finishing sequence.
