WWE Superstars Results
November 14, 2013
Taped 11/11 in Manchester, U.K.
Report by Justin James, PWTorch contributor

Last night after NXT wrapped up, Hulu decided to play the sixth-ever episode of Superstars. It featured Tommy Dreamer against Christian in an ECW Championship match as part of the story arc that Dreamer would leave WWE if he couldn't capture the title by the end of his contract in a few weeks. It featured a run-in from Jack Swagger, who had dropped the title to Christian when he returned from the TNA exile. The match was fine enough, but it reminded me of when Superstars used to have matches that made sense in the greater whole and overlapped with the other storylines. With that in mind...

1 - THE FUNKADACTYLES (CAMERON & NAOMI) vs. ALICIA FOX & AKSANA - Tag Team match

Naomi and Fox start it off. Naomi with some Justin Gabriel-like offense. Now it is Cameron and Aksana. Aksana gets double-suplexed across the ring, and Fox tries to intervene, which lets Aksana rally. Aksana does her cat crawl to a massive "This is awesome!" chant. Alex Riley then informs the audience that John Laurinaitis discovered Aksana in a fashion catalog or magazine. Cameron gets the hot tag. The action breaks down and Cameron lands the "Girl Bye" DDT for the win.

WINNERS: The Funkadactyls in 4:00. That was painful to watch.

2 - THE GREAT KHALI & THE USOS (JIMMY USO & JEY USO) vs. THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS (DARREN YOUNG & TITUS O'NEIL) & THE MIZ - Six-man Tag Team match

During the entrance, The Miz does the Million Dollar Dance, likely to be the highlight of those segment.

Jey Uso and The Miz start it off as the crowd runs with an "Us-O" chant. The trade rapid roll-ups. The fight to a draw, and tag in Khali and a game O'Neil. O'Neil wins the lockup and does Khali's fryan pan chops. But he does his seal barking, letting Khali lumber out of the corner. Young tags in and runs into a head chop. Khali wails on Miz next. Khali sends Miz over the ropes and us to commercial.

[ Commercial Break ]

The Miz is isolated and Khali decides to tag out and re-charge. Miz catches a break and he's able to get Young in to take over against Jimmy Uso. Blind tag from Jey who take offense from O'Neil. O'Neil runs a three point stance into the turnbuckle to draw a double tag. Jey Uso turns up the heat on Young. Chaos, then Jey slips out of Young's gutbuster finisher, hits a superkick, and a Samoan Splash finish it.

WINNERS: Great Khali & The Usos in 7:45. When I read that The Usos have stepped their game up lately, I have to assume they haven't been watching Superstars. These guys have been running the same match for years, and adding The Great Khali doesn't make it any better.
