Taped 12/11/12 in Bridgeport, Connecticut
Aired on Ion Television

[Q1]
-Main Event opening music video, no WWE open this week. Pyro opens the show in the arena and Michael Cole welcomes everyone to Main Event on Ion. Michael Cole and The Miz are in the middle of the ring and start things off by talking about the TLC pay-per-view. The Miz talks about how The Shield mean business. Cole switches gears to tonights main event and throws to a new video package of Ryback and the path of destruction he has left in the WWE in 2012.
- The video starts with Ryback running down multiple opponents then switches mid-way to a video about The Shield and how they have taken out Ryback, Miz, Randy Orton, and Team Hell-No recently. The video is more of a hype video for the match at the pay per view than anything.
-Back in the arena, Miz mentions that C.M. Punk has a knee injury and won’t compete at TLC. Michael Cole starts to talk about the six-man tag match but is interrupted by Ricardo Rodriguez. Ricardo sings the praises of Del Rio and has trouble remembering who he is facing tonight. Ricardo then wants the 17-minute highlight package he has put together to be shown. Ricardo talks so fast it is hard to keep up with him!
-The Del Rio package is next. The voice-over guy touts how he is a third generation star and how in his rookie year he won the WWE Title, the Royal Rumble, and Money in the Bank. His cars are also highlighted as the voice-over guy says that Del Rio is willing to take on those who are lower than he is. The video then gets cut off by Ryback's theme.
-Ryback makes his way to the ring and chases Ricardo away. Ricardo hides behind the announcers as Ryback paces the ring staring at Rodriguez.
-Alberto Del Rio is out next. He calls Ryback names and is upset that he cut short the greatest highlight reel on the greatest wrestler in WWE.
1 - RYBACK vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO
Del Rio gets some swift kicks to the thigh of Ryback to start, then Ryback shrugs them off and gorilla press slams Del Rio and he rolls out of the ring as Main Event takes it first break 0:50 into the match.

Del Rio is taking the fight to Ryback when Main Event returns. Ryback blocks a suplex attempt and puts Alberto down with a impressive delayed vertical suplex. He got about 12 seconds of air time there! Ryback pounds away on Del Rio, Del Rio can’t escape him. Thumb to the eye by Del Rio, he rolls out of the ring to get away from Ryback.
[Q2] Back in, Ryback face-plants Del Rio and tries to put Del Rio away. Alberto comes back with a series of kicks and then stomps away on Ryback. Thesz Press by Ryback out of nowhere, he slams the back of Del Rio’s head into the mat and then picks him up and scoop slams him. Dropkick from Del Rio, he goes to the middle rope and connects with an axe handle smash. Ryback misses a charge in the corner, he goes shoulder first into the steel post. Del Rio slides to the floor and pulls Rybacks arm and traps it behind the steel steps and kicks them into his shoulder.

Del Rio comes off the middle rope with another ax handle smash at 11:45, he goes back to the shoulder to soften Ryback up for his finisher. Ryback no-sells and back-suplexes Del Rio. Ryback misses another charge in the corner, Del Rio double stomps Ryback and then puts the boots to him. Back to the bad arm of Ryback, but Ryback answers with a clothesline. Powerslam by Ryback, the crowd is firmly behind him, chanting, “Feed me more!”
Meathook clothesline by Ryback attempt, but Del Rio rolls out of the ring. Ryback tries to suplex Del Rio into the ring, but ADR counters into an armbreaker. Running enziguri by Del Rio gets a two count. Alberto tries the Cross Armbreaker, but Ryback powers him into the corner and then explodes out with a Meathook clothesline that connects! Ryback calls for Shellshock, hits it, and he puts Del Rio away!
WINNER: Ryback by pin in 15:47.
Mike's Reax: As the top graduate of the Road Warriors school of no-selling and looking strong, Ryback made Alberto Del Rio look like a non-threat. Ryback looked tough throughout the match, he took all of Del Rio’s signature moves and kept on smiling (so to speak). I was okay with this match, it was a long-form Ryback squash and since Del Rio is on the back burner and doesn’t mean much to the main event scene in WWE I could live with Ryback treating him like a nobody.
-Ryback will have some words for The Shield when Main Event returns.

[Q3]
-Matt Striker is with Ryback backstage. Of note, Striker got rid of that awful mustache. He asks for Rybacks thoughts on his match with The Shield this Sunday. Ryback says that he has survived his trials in the survival of the fittest. He says that he and Team Hell No must act like a pack, they must fight together, watch each others back, and feed together. Striker questions that Ryback is a lone wolf, Ryback gets in his face and yells, “Yes!” in Matt’s face.
Mike's Reax: Am I the only one who feels that Alan’s speech from The Hangover should have been shown in lieu of this promo?
-A video package of A.J. resigning as Raw G.M. and Vickie Guererro taking over is shown. It focuses on the supposed affair that Cena was having with A.J. Somehow Cena making out with A.J segues into his feud with Dolph Ziggler. They face off in a ladder match on Sunday with the Money in the Bank briefcase on the line!
-3MB is out, they have some kind of announcement. They play air guitar, but not as well as Hollywood Hogan did back in the day. Jinder starts off by saying that Main Event is on early tonight because Ion is showing a concert at MSG benefitting the victims of Sandy. Heath Slater wants to know why they weren’t invited to perform. Drew McIntyre then plugs the Rolling Stones concert on Saturday and he is upset that they weren’t asked to open, but Lady Gaga and Bruce Springsteen were! Jinder then says that they are above being on PPV and they are going to debut their new single tonight. They start to play but get cut off by Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd.
-Justin says that they aren’t good enough to clean the toilets at MSG, let alone play there. Tyson Kidd tells them to put down their air guitars and get ready to face them, now! Heath asks who else they have to fight with them. Drew says they are a band and they only fight together. Tyson accept the three on two handicap stipulations. The match is next!

[Q4]
2 - 3MB (DREW MCINTYRE & JINDER MAHAL & HEATH SLATER) vs. JUSTIN GABRIEL & TYSON KIDD -- handicap match
Jinder and Gabriel start things off. Jinder, the fun one of the group, misses a clothesline and gets drop toe holded (drop toe held?) and Kidd is tagged in. Kidd drops an elbow on Mahal. Kidd gets stuck in the heel corner and gets overpowered by the numbers. 3MB do quick tags and punish Tyson Kidd. Drew is in and he body slams Kidd, he goes to the middle ropes and jumps off, but Kidd gets his foot up. Kidd hot (?) tags in Gabriel, who kicks Drew in the face and splashes McIntyre in the corner. Sit down powerbomb by Gabriel gets a two count. He sets up Drew for the 450 splash, but Jinder pulls Drew out to the floor. Gabriel suicide dives out on Mahal, Tyson somersault planchas onto the other two members as Main Event takes another break.
(Commercial)
Jinder Mahal has Gabriel in a chinlock when Main Event returns. Justin fights out, but gets the back of his head slammed into the mat. Slater is tagged in, Mahal whips Gabriel into Slater who spin heel kicks him for a two count. Gabriel almost makes a tag while Slater plays to his fellow band members. Front facelock by Slater, then Gabriel overhead suplexes Slater, who tags out. Drew breaks up the tag by Gabriel. Snap suplex by McIntyre get another two count. Drew stomps the hand of Gabriel, for no reason, he then tags in Mahal.
Drew and Mahal fail on a double suplex attempt, then Gabriel dropkicks Drew out of the ring. Heath is tagged in, and he stops another tag attempt. Drew is tagged in, he gets enziguried, Kidd gets tagged in! Missile dropkick sends Drew packing, then Slater comes in and gets dropkicked. Kidd knocks Jinder off the apron and tries the Sharpshooter on Heath Slater, but Drew is back in and he cheapshots Kidd.
Both men reset, Kidd dropkicks Slater and then comes off the top rope with a blockbuster for a two count. Everyone is in the ring, Gabriel clears the ring, but Drew cheap-shots Tyson again and Slater puts him away with a Impaler DDT, called “The Smash Hit.”
WINNERS: 3MB by pinfall in 12:21.
-3MB play Air Guitar to celebrate.
-Last month, Cody Rhodes got injured in a match with Team Hell No, but now Cody Rhodes is healthy and ready to compete. Cody will face Kane next week in a grudge match.
