WWE Saturday Morning Slam Results
November 24, 2012
Aired on CW - Episode #14
Report by James Caldwell, PWTorch assistant editor
This week's Saturday morning show started with a crowd shot as the voice-over man introduced the show and said this will be like Thanksgiving dessert, complete with a pie-eating contest.
In-ring: El Local (Ricardo Rodriguez) was introduced for the opening match before Josh Mathews and R-Truth were shown at ringside handling commentary. Justin Gabriel then came out to face Local.
1 -- JUSTIN GABRIEL vs. EL LOCAL
Local managed to score with some offense early on before slowing things down with a seated armbar. Gabriel reached his feet, though, and delivered a codebreaker that Local sold by monkey-flipping. Gabriel then hit a sit-out slam for a two count. Gabriel then tried a back-flip reverse DDT that nearly led to both men crashing heads. It was good for a pin, though, to get the W.
WINNER: Gabriel at 3:39. Not a very fluid match. It looked like Ricardo's first time working under a mask, leading to some off sequences.
Up Next: Pie-eating contest. No John Cena on this show despite WWE's website advertising Cena in the ring today. An apparent miscommunication.

Third Degree video: Various stars were quizzed on what they are most thankful for - Eve, Drew McIntyre, Mick Foley talked about himself, David Otunga, Santino, and Dolph Ziggler talked about himself in a heelish manner.
Backstage Video: The Miz introduced a pie-eating contest. Miz said in celebration of Thanksgiving, Slam is featuring a one-of-a-kind contest. R-Truth was shown sitting at a table. Next was Santino. And, finally, Zack Ryder. Miz then pulled out his smartphone with a stopwatch. One minute to eat as many pies as possible. And the slobbering commenced. Lots of burping and near gagging after the minute finished. Miz then surveyed the damage and declared Santino as the Saturday Morning Slam Pie-Eating Contest. Santino did a trumpet celebration as Ryder and Truth complained about the ref's call. They decided to get revenge by slamming a pie in Santino's face. Cue up the food fight. Suddenly, Brodus Clay interrupted along with Naomi and Cameron. Clay said you can't have a party without him, Cameron said she likes pie, and then Santino got a sugar rush and crashed into the table to end the skit.
Up next: The Usos in the TV main event.
[Commercial Break]
In-ring: 3MB's music played to bring out the trio of Heath Slater, uncomfortable Drew McIntyre, and out-of-place Jinder Mahal. Mathews and Truth tried to figure out the group on commentary before the Usos came out on-stage for their pre-match war dance. Jimmy & Jey then hit the ring and intimidated 3MB before the opening bell.
2 -- THE USOS vs. 3MB (HEATH SLATER & JINDER MAHAL w/Drew McIntyre)
Slater scored with an early move, so he joined Mahal in the heel corner to do a dual air-guitar celebration. Jey then nearly scored with a three count on a roll-up before doing his own dance move to mock 3MB. Jinder then tried to charge the Usos, but they dumped him to the outside. Slater met a similar fate, then the Usos delivered dual planchas to the floor. Usos in control heading to the final break of the show.
[Commercial Break]
Back from break, heel Antonio Cesaro delivered this week's Don't Try This At Home message. At least he framed it in a heelish way not to imitate him. Back in the ring, Jinder was in control of the action. Mahal and Slater began exchanging tags as McIntyre shouted insults toward Truth that this is real tag team wrestling. Truth responded on commentary by saying Mac wasn't talking to him, but to Little Jimmy. The other Jimmy involved in the proceedings then made a tag to Jey, who came in hot with explosive offense on Slater.
Jey set up Slater for a charging butt splash before making a cover, but Mahal broke up the pin. After all four men were in the ring, Mac tripped up Jey in the confusion, allowing Slater to slam Jey off the top rope. Slater with the pin for the win. Post-match, 3MB did a triple air guitar celebration in the ring as Truth noted the Usos were too focused on Mac, which cost them the match. As 3MB took a bow, Mathews and Truth signed off with a Thanksgiving message.
WINNERS: 3MB at 8:16. Basic tag match to continue exposing the 3MB group to all of WWE's audience.
