WWE Main Event Results
November 14, 2012
Taped 11/13/12 in Cleveland, Ohio
Aired on Ion Television
By Michael Cupach, PWTorch contributor
[Q1]
-WWE open.
-Main Event music video is shown followed by full pyro. Michael Cole and The Miz are at the announce booth instead of in the middle of the ring to start the show. Miz claims that Cleveland is the house that he built and he is Cleveland’s favorite son. I guess with LeBron James on the outs with us Clevelanders, Miz can make that claim! Miz and Cole recap the tag match that Miz and Kane had against Rhodes Scholars last Monday, then Miz says that he had tremendous chemistry with Kane. Cole mentions that The Miz can team with anyone and look good.
-Josh Mathews is backstage with Team Hell No. Josh starts off by asking how Kane and Bryan can co-exist after what happened on Monday. Bryan says that the only reason Miz and Kane won was because he was out there, and Kane says that they won despite Bryan. They argue about who is hopeless and Kane storms off. When Kane leaves, Daniel Bryan gets jumped from behind by Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow. Kane doesn’t make a save as the referees break up the fight.
-Michael Cole wonders if the match will still happen and notes that Daniel Bryan's jealousy may cost them the Tag Titles down the line. The Miz says that he won’t stand for the dysfunction on his team at Survivor Series.
-A video package highlights Kane and Daniel Bryan's journey together as a tag team. Clips from anger management and some of their better arguments are shown. Halfway through the package, WWE switches to a video about Rhodes Scholars and how they became #1 contenders to the Tag Team Titles.
-Team Rhodes Scholars make their way to the ring as Cole questions if Bryan will be cleared to compete. They face Team Hell No, next!

-Kane makes his way to the ring. Halfway to the ring, Daniel Bryan's music plays, and he limps out, then both men charge the ring and send Rhodes Scholars to the floor.
1 - WWE tag champions DANIEL BRYAN & KANE vs. RHODES SCHOLARS - Tag Title match
Kane and Cody start things off. Cody sticks and moves, but runs into a shoulder block from Kane. Kane stomps away at Rhodes and rams his head into the turnbuckle. Another big shoulder tackle from Kane and he tags in Daniel Bryan. Bryan kicks Cody in the mid-section in the corner as the crowd starts to chant Bryan’s name. Bryan tries a surfboard, but can’t get him up and instead smashes his knees into the mat. Bryan tags in Kane and holds Cody for him, then Cody ducks and Kane nails Bryan instead. At the taping, they messed the spot up the first time, as Cody never ducked, so they looked at each other and re-did the previous sequence move for move over again.
[Q2] Kane helps Bryan back up, but Cody dropkicks Kane out of the ring and Damien Sandow drives Kane head first into the steel post as Main Event takes a break.

Kane continues to be worked over by Sandow as Main Event returns. Kane back-body drops Cody and Cody lands awkwardly - I thought his shoulder has hurt live, but looking it over again, he landed on his head. Tag in to Bryan, and he dropkicks Cody as the ref clearly asks Cody if he is okay. Bryan misses a top rope headbutt, Cody rolls out of the way, and Cody tags out. Sandow throws Daniel Bryan out of the ring, and a replay of the back-body drop is shown as trainers check on Cody. Damien whips Daniel Bryan into the barricade. Back in the ring, Sandow uses his boot to choke Daniel. Sandow puts the ring apron over Bryan's head and then pounds away on him in a weird looking spot. Sandow has Bryan in a body scissors.

Bryan fights out of a waistlock, but he runs into a knee to the mid-section of Damien Sandow. Michael Cole notes Cody’s injury from the back drop and replays it. Cody looks like hell on the apron. Sandow goes for a superplex on Bryan, but Bryan shoves him off and nails him with a missile dropkick.
[Q3] Bryan hot tags in Kane. Sandow goes it alone and ends up on the wrong end of a Kane beat down! Kane nails him with a series of clotheslines and a sidewalk slam. Kane knocks Cody off the apron, and Cody lands so gingerly on the floor as not to further injure himself. Flying clothesline from Kane connects on Sandow. Kane chokeslams Sandow and tags in Bryan, who hits Damien with a flying headbutt for the win!
WINNERS: Team Hell No at 18:05; actual match was 13:00 (I know... I was there).
-At ringside, Matt Striker is with the winners and he asks Daniel Bryan if he can bury the hatchet with Miz. He starts to answer, but Kane cuts him off and tells him that his only reply should be “Yes! Yes! Yes!” and that prompts the crowd to chant along. Miz leaves the announce table and confronts Bryan. He offers to shake his hand, Bryan shakes his head no, Kane whispers something in his ear, and Bryan yells “No!” at him over and over. Kane then persuades him to do it, so Bryan offers to hug it out with Miz, who refuses. The crowd was biased towards Miz, so they didn’t exactly boo or react as they should have.
-Up next, Dolph Ziggler will be interviewed about tonight's match and his prospects for Sunday.
(Commercial)
-A video package is shown focusing on the Triple Threat match at Survivor Series between Punk, Ryback, and Cena.
[Q4]
-Michael Cole interviews Dolph Ziggler on the Titantron, and Cole asks for his take as to what happened in the previous match. Dolph says that his team has a leader who won’t abandon them and won’t quit, so his team’s chances are pretty awesome! He breaks down how Kofi and Miz hate each other, Bryan and Kane hate each other, and Orton hates everyone. Dolph then tells Miz that he should look at Mick Foley because he will be just like him one day. Miz asks Dolph when was the last time he main-evented WrestleMania or when the last time he was WWE Champion, or when he main-evented everything. Dolph then asked Miz how his training for Sunday was going while he sat in a comfy chair doing nothing. He calls Cole and Miz “know nothing, know it alls.”
The Miz then says that there are tons of other captains who know more than Dolph and lists various ficticious captains. Miz challenges Dolph to a match next week. Dolph accepts and says that he will be basking in the glow of his win on Sunday and will cruise in to beat him again on Main Event. Ziggler takes a shot at his beloved Cleveland Browns, then Miz takes offense and goes into his catchphrase, but Dolph cuts him off and says that he will beat him next week and will be the show off!
-Santino Marella makes his way to the ring, as he is in action when Main Event returns!
(Commercial)
2 - SANTINO MARELLA vs. DAVID OTUNGA
The match is progress when Main Event comes back. Santino armdrags Otunga, then David powers out and whips Santino into the ropes. He does his silly walk to confound Otunga. Armbar from Marella on Otunga, and he fights out again and whips Santino into the corner and charges in with a shoulder to the mid-section. Otunga works over the ribs and tries a cocky pin, but Santino kicks out at one. Otunga drives his shoulder into the ribs again, then gives him a gutbuster. Santino tries to kip up, but can’t pull it off. Otunga misses a charge, then Santino armdrags him and calls for the Cobra. The Cobra connects and Santino wins.
WINNER: Santino in 3:22 of TV time; the match was about 5:00 in the arena.
-Michael Cole plugs The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler for next week as Santino celebrates in the ring.
Mike's Reax: Another very good edition of Main Event. The Miz-Dolph exchange was fantastic, Miz was over huge with the hometown crowd, and we were ready to be able to finally cheer The Miz. Both men were on their game, especially Ziggler, who continues to improve week after week. The tag match was a good match, even after it obviously switched directions when Cody got injured, but I don’t think it hurt the match too much. All in all, another excellent Main Event!
