WWE Saturday Morning Slam results

Saturday Slam opened with a plug for U.S. champ Antonio Cesaro vs. Derrick Bateman later in the show.

1 -- BRODUS CLAY vs. EPICO (w/Primo)

No Rosa Mendes with the Colons on the Saturday show. And, Cameron and Naomi's outfits were toned down. Josh Mathews and The Miz are on commentary. Early on, Brodus and Epico played some games to entertain the crowd. Primo then consulted with Epico since nothing was working for him. Back in the ring, Clay comically suplexed Epico before delivering the big splat for the win.

WINNER: Clay at 2:06.

Video feature: Kane tried to frighten the kids. He said there have been other monsters in history who have amused him. Kane's list included The Boogeyman, Papa Shango, The Undertaker, and himself. Kane noted Taker is his biggest foe and ally.

Video feature: Kaitlyn provided Halloween costume tips on how to dress like a penguin.

Third Degree: WWE stars offered their favorite Halloween costumes. The Miz, Alicia Fox, R-Truth, A.J., Ted DiBiase, and Brodus Clay talked, with Miz telling the kids to be cool and dress like him.

2 -- U.S. champion ANTONIO CESARO vs. DERRICK BATEMAN -- non-title match

Bateman was out to his old NXT music. No Mr. USA bit, but Miz noted that Bateman loves America oh so much. Bateman engaged Cesaro in some tricks and games early on to take control. Bateman dropkicked Cesaro to the outside, then Cesaro complained to the crowd leading to break.

Back on Slam, Clay provided this week's Don't Try This At Home message. Back in the ring, Cesaro was in control of the action. Bateman then came back with back body drops before the action spilled to the outside. But, Cesaro cut off Bateman trying to return to the ring. Cesaro then dropped Bateman with the Neutralizer for the pin and the win. Miz gave him an A+ before Mathews unenthusiastically signed off with Cesaro standing tall in the ring.

WINNER: Cesaro at 9:51. This feud has some life to it if and when Bateman is re-packaged as Mr. USA Guy.
