Second Hour PPV Results

In-ring: Fandango's music played to bring out Fandango and Summer Rae dancing their way to the ring. As FandangoRae made their entrance, Jerry Lawler talked up his museum. The Miz's music then played to bring out Fandango's opponent.

4 -- THE MIZ vs. FANDANGO (w/Summer Rae)

Miz controlled early on, but Summer Rae hopped on the ring apron and shrieked toward Miz, distracting him. This allowed Fandango to take control of the match. Meanwhile, Cole plugged Dusty Rhodes on Raw tomorrow night after accepting an invitation from Stephanie McMahon. Miz and Fandango continued to trade control as the announcers talked sports and other topics while the crowd sat quietly. The vocal males tried to add some noise with random chants.

Fandango tried to finish the match with his top-rope leg drop that Chris Jericho has taken credit for establishing, but Miz did a sit-up to avoid. Miz followed with the Figure-Four Leglock and Fandango put the match out of its misery by tapping out.

WINNER: Miz via submission at 7:49. Dud of a match. How is the crowd supposed to invest in a match like this when WWE spent the past four weeks emasculating the roster between Summerslam and Night of Champions? Plus, Miz is mis-cast in the face role and the Fandango'ing fad has faded out.

Ringside: WWE spotlighted members of the Michigan National Guard sitting ringside.

Video Package: C.M. Punk vs. Paul Heyman feud.

In-ring: Curtis Axel's music played to bring out the IC champion flanked by Paul Heyman. Heyman slowly walked to the ring, selling concern over what his fate might be tonight. Axel confidently posed in the ring before assuring Heyman that everything will be okay. After a pause, Cult of Personality played to wake up the crowd. Heyman had a great facial reaction wincing as COP played because it meant C.M. Punk was coming out. Punk brought a kendo stick with him to the ring, so Axel grabbed a kendo stick of his own on the outside.

5 -- C.M. PUNK vs. IC champion CURTIS AXEL & PAUL HEYMAN -- No DQ handicap elimination match

Once the bell sounded, a kendo stick battle ensued. Punk delivered a "Gordie Howe" Russian Legsweep to Axel, then suddenly went flying through the ropes with a suicide dive to an unsuspecting Paul Heyman. Punk dragged Heyman into the ring, then did a Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down before picking up the kendo stick. But, Axel low-blowed Punk from behind and Heyman bailed to the floor.

Axel followed the low-blow with consecutive Kendo Stick shots. Punk teased a comeback, but Axel delivered the big dropkick from his opening match against Kofi Kingston. Axel followed with a clubbing forearm to the back of the head to silence Punk as Heyman "warmed up" ringside. Axel then grabbed a table from under the ring and slid it into the ring. Axel teased a suplex through the table in the corner, then Punk teased a suplex, but Axel blocked and suplexed Punk across the ring.

At 9:00, Axel landed a big swinging neckbreaker, but Punk kicked out before three. Punk then came back with a Kendo Stick shot to the gut and followed with the GTS. But, Punk opted to slap on the Vice rather than make the pin. It was no matter, as Axel tapped out, giving Punk the first victory.

*** Axel eliminated at 10:31 ***

Punk maintained the Vice a few extra seconds to eliminate Axel from the equation as Heyman stared straight ahead. Heyman then took off running through the production area as Punk gave chase. Heyman eventually ran back into the ring, where Punk chased him down and tackled him to the mat. Punk raked Heyman's nose and face before Punk stalked him with a Kendo Stick. Heyman wanted a hug, but Punk smashed him with the stick. And again. And again.

The crowd wanted Punk to send Heyman through the table in the corner as Punk called for the GTS. Punk then unbuckled his kickpads and removed a chain. Heyman freaked out before Punk handcuffed Heyman's hands behind his back. Heyman comically gave a verbal "tap out" since he couldn't tap out, then Punk delivered more Kendo Stick shots to Heyman's body. Lawler enjoyed watching this as the crowd chanted for the table again.

Punk measured Heyman for a final blow to the face, but Ryback suddenly popped out from under the ring. Ryback then smashed Punk (and himself) through the corner table. Punk had a cut on his back and Ryback sold being knocked out by the spear. Ryback eventually collected himself and dragged Heyman on top of Punk. The ref counted three and Heyman won the No DQ match as the crowd went silent.

Post-match, Ryback scooped up Heyman and dragged him out of the ring while still selling the effects of the table spot. Back in the ring, medics checked on Punk as Lawler solemnly noted that the record book will show Heyman defeating Punk. As Punk continued to sell in the ring, the crowd chanted Punk's name in support. Punk then left the ring under his own power while blood trickled out from the cut on his back.

WINNER: Heyman at 15:43. The crowd invested in the action, which was fine for the purpose of giving Heyman some measure of comeuppance, setting up Heyman getting some new help in his stable, and continuing Punk's quest to tear down Heyman.

All-Star Panel: Following a plug for WWE Battleground next month, Josh Mathews went around the horn for Alex Riley, Booker T, and Santino to talk about the PPV thus far.
