PPV Evaluation - TNA Bound for Glory
By Nathan Kyght, PWTorch PPV specialist

BEST MATCH – SAMOA JOE VS. LOW KI VS. KAZ HAYASHI

Great match. This was a very well done blend of the American and Japanese styles, and as per usual, Samoa Joe when not handcuffed with ludicrous gimmicks or cringe-worthy storylines comes across as an absolute beast. After the match, the crowd went crazy for Joe, who did an in-ring victory promo that was intense and believable. If TNA sails off into the night, I hope WWE finally sees what they have in the potential of signing Joe.

WORST MATCH – HAVOK VS. VELVET SKY

Havok is trying, but, boy, are fans not buying into this at all. The wrestling here was clunky and dull, and the crowd sat on their hands.

BIGGEST SURPRISE – NOTHING

Seems like a strange thing to say, but this was presented as such an after-thought by TNA that I basically expected some good wrestling on what was essentially a house show and that's exactly what I got. Side note: This is TNA's WrestleMania.

BEST MOVE – LOW KI

Another wrestler I hope gets a shot in the WWE (and yeah, I remember that he was there once and his gimmick was that he had a deep voice and no, I'm not counting that). His move wherein Kaz monkey-flipped him but he saved himself and hit his double foot stomp was the best move in the highlight match of the night.

BEST MATCH FINISH – JOE VS. KI VS. KAZ

Samoa Joe, the champion (at least on TV here) makes a challenger tap. Because he's, y'know, the champion and thus a better wrestler. Simple. Effective.

OTHER THOUGHTS

It was an okay show with some fun wrestling. The main event with Storm/Sanada vs. Muta/Tajiri was fairly dull, but there were also some real highlights such as the three-way X Division match and Manik vs. Tanaka opener. MVP looked good and happy to be working at Korakuen Hall.

I don't know. I'm not going into much detail here, because this didn't really feel like a pay-per-view, and honestly? I don't think very many people watched it. What's much more problematic is that I don't think many people even cared.

WHAT IT'LL BE REMEMBERED FOR

Possibly, thought certainly not hopefully, TNA's last pay-per-view. If it was, they went out with the proverbial whimper, as while this was a fairly fun show it was barely promoted and came off as essentially another show in TNA's "One Night Stand" series. Time of course will tell, but as of now, this very well have been the company's swan song. What a shame.
