Wade Keller: I think a lot of people look at what you've said and written about ECW, especially it's obviously as you've said by definition a relatively small group, but ECW was groundbreaking and influential in a lot of ways. I think a lot of people think you understate and don't give enough credit to the influence that Paul Heyman had in setting in motion the NWO, the Attitude Era - not specifically because obviously the NWO idea came more so from New Japan and Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and you, and all of these ideas coming together. But do you think that for reasons in the past you underestimated and understated the overall influence Heyman had on being ahead of the curve on what was going to be a big boom period?

Eric Bischoff: There's one reason and one reason only - I never watched it. I never watched the show.

Keller: So for you personally, how could something influence you that you didn't see - that's your argument.

Bischoff: It wasn't even available. I mean, if it was available, it was on some obscure channel in Atlanta. I never watched it. I probably knew more about ECW after I went to work for WWE than I did any time prior to that. I never really watched it. It wasn't like it was on. It wasn't a big television bonanza. (laughs) You know what I mean? It was fairly obscure. And for a guy who was working 18 hours a day and really didn't, despite what people think, I wasn't watching WWE. We watched them to see when they went into commercial break because we wanted to bitch slap them, but we weren't watching it for content. I certainly wasn't watching ECW for content. Any disrespect or lack of acknowledgment or anything like that that came from me in terms of ECW was quite honestly because I just never watched it.
