WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin provided his insight on how much value WWE places on the Royal Rumble match and what it's like to be in a Rumble match during Austin's interview with PWTorch editor Wade Keller on Thursday's PWTorch Livecast.

Austin also talked about how difficult it is to pull of a quality Rumble match when mixing so many different wrestlers, feuds, and situations building to a finale.

"People don't understand how important that Rumble is; how it can make or break you. It's everything. Royal Rumbles are hard. It's a tough work," Austin said.

"All the times when you see a guy tied up with another guy trying to throw him over the top rope, and you'll see three or four different sets of guys doing it around the ring because you're trying to buy time and put in time. Because you can't just be draped over that rope.

"They're really a cluster-muck to work. That was the match that - I was fortunate enough to win three of them - but I never really liked battle royals because of all the elements. (There are) so many guys in the ring and then this guy is going to bounce off the ropes and do a high spot. There is discombobulation everywhere.

"They're very hard matches to work, but I always look forward to them to see the execution and planning behind them to see how they unfold and who WWE has their designs on with the chess pieces going into WrestleMania. To me, they're very hard matches to work."

Austin added that he hopes WWE does have someone break his record of three Rumble victories down the road.

"It will be interesting to see if anyone ever beats the three wins that I have, and hopefully they will. And it will be a very special person that they have very high hopes for," Austin said.

Austin added why he is hopeful that WWE has someone break his Rumble record to enhance the wrestling business going forward.

"Let me say on-record that when I'm critical of the business, I love the business. I don't want to come across as bitter, but I earned my stripes and I do have an opinion. We're voicing our opinions, but I absolutely love the business. If it could change a little bit, I would love it a little more. And I do this because I care."
