Randy Orton vs. Sheamus for the World Hvt. Title will take place on next week's WWE Smackdown episode.

Sheamus was booked to win a #1 contender match over Christian and Mark Henry during the main event of Friday's episode to set up Orton's next title defense.

Instead of stretching out Orton vs. Sheamus to the next PPV in three weeks, WWE is booking the match on next week's Smackdown.

The finish of the #1 contender match continued building tension between Christian and Orton - Smackdown's two top faces - after Orton inadvertently cost Christian the match.

Christian scored a visual three count on Sheamus, but the referee was occupied with Orton, who dropped Henry with an RKO. Moments earlier, Henry attacked Orton on the outside.

After Christian's visual three count, Sheamus pinned Christian with a Brogue Kick to earn #1 contender status.

The Smackdown episode concluded with Christian selling frustration with the referee while Orton and Sheamus had a back-and-forth stare down to set up next week's World Title match.

As of now, WWE's next PPV, Capitol Punishment, does not have any matches announced. Interestingly, Capitol Punishment is replacing the Fatal Four-Way PPV when WWE is actually setting up four men on each brand to be involved in the major picture.

Smackdown has Orton, Christian, Sheamus, and Henry in the title picture. On Monday's Raw episode, WWE champion John Cena, Rey Mysterio, R-Truth, and C.M. Punk were in the title picture after Cena finished his program with The Miz.
