Prior to beginning his losing streak storyline on Smackdown TV, MVP was thought to be in line for a feud against The Undertaker to help elevate MVP as a future star in WWE.

The potential feud was pushed to the backburner, but MVP says it could happen in the near future to help him continue growing as a wrestler watching the veterans work.

"I worked with Taker on live events, but (we) haven't had a feud," MVP said in an interview with the U.K. Sun. "Would love to work with Taker because every time we work together, I learn so much from him."

MVP praised Taker for being a locker room leader and told a story about walking into the locker room recently sporting a very nice, expensive watch, then Taker told him he earned it by working hard. He said being given that complement from a WWE leader was high praise and inspires him to continue working hard.

"I look at The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels as guys who get better with age," MVP said. "As you go on, you learn to adjust and adapt. In my case, I really enjoy studying and improving my craft - not just my in-ring aspect, but on the mic. The fans are in for a treat because I'm going to continue to work to get better."

He said he believes his time is coming, as the top tier stars are in their late 30s or early 40s. "Clock is ticking," MVP said, adding that the human body can only take so much in the ring. "Rey Mysterio has a family and he wants to watch his family grow up," MVP said as another example of a top star nearing the end of his career.

Related to Shawn Michaels, MVP said he would love to work him "before he hangs it up," but he sees himself on a collision course with John Cena. "I can't wait to wrestle circles around him," MVP joked.

Serious, MVP complemented Cena after taking a long pause to think over how he wanted to complement Cena.

"There's nothing not to like. He really is a great guy," MVP said. "It's one of those things where you want to find something to dislike about him, but he puts the work in. He's probably the hardest-working man in the company."
