WWE News: Two more wrestlers and one diva the latest to be cut by WWE Nov 10, 2008 - 12:08:17 PM
WWE announced on its website that Kenny Dykstra, Elijah Burke, and Lena Yada have been released from their WWE contracts effective today. Dykstra was on the Smackdown brand, while Burke and Yada were on ECW.
Burke had not been on ECW TV for several months, while Lena was a regular backstage interviewer for ECW on Sci-Fi. Dykstra, along with the repackaged Dolph Ziggler, who has been off Raw TV for several weeks, was the last of the Spirit Squad wrestlers remaining from their 2006 push.
Caldwell's Analysis: Unfortunately, we can probably expect some more rounds of cuts as WWE looks to cut $20 million in expenses after doing an expansive budget review in the third quarter of this year.
