WWE PPV Reax

-- Mike Omansky, PWTorch correspondent (6.5): Best Match: Owens-Cena. Worst Match: Prime Time vs. New Day tag team. Very good show, entertaining, and some high points. Kevin Owens, even getting pinned, emerged as the star of the show. The "Money in the Bank" ladder match was well done - I expected Roman Reigns to be taken out by either Kane or Bray Wyatt, and that came to pass. Sheamus may get a reboot from this, and that's good. The others performed well and kept it interesting.

The Rollins-Ambrose main event was good, although the crowd seemed to be getting tired. It was nice to see a Rollins match without constant interference, as a change of pace. Both guys did well, although nothing much really matters in a ladder match until the finish.

-- Derrick from Utah (6.5): It was a three-match show, and each marquee match delivered to some degree. Well laid-out and nicely-executed Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Unarguably one of the better, and perhaps one of the top matches of its kind. It suffered from the traditional multiple-man ladder match pitfalls (laying outside the ring, waiting, and slow climbing), but the peaks, valleys, twists, and turns kept the match momentum moving upwards. There was enough "awe" spots to fill the time, but not too many to appear unsafe and reckless.

It appears that Reigns vs. Wyatt will be heading into Summerslam. This has the potential to be good for both guys who still need to sharpen the tools they have and add some additional instruments to their respective tool belts. Cena and Owens did not disappoint. In layout, the match was similar to their first encounter. Perhaps, too similar. In execution it was a step behind. In crowd involvement, a step above. Most importantly, in overall enjoyment, it was on par. The post-match attack was a nice touch. Nobody likes a sore loser. Owens solidified himself as a main player, and perhaps more importantly, a heel character.

The main event started slow, but by the end, I felt the match built nicely into a war of attrition which showcased a mean streak in Seth Rollins and some admirable toughness for Dean Ambrose. The finish gave credibility to Seth without pushing Ambrose back down the ladder (pun intended). In conclusion, it was a good, but not great, ladder match and an acceptable end cap to a solid event.
