-- WWE TLC PPV Reax

Travis O'Brian, PWTorch reader (4.0): With all of the hype leading into the show that the roster was "fired up" due to NXT REvolution's success, and to lay such an egg as they did was a real disappointment. My high point was the opening IC title ladder match and my low point was the way they decided to interject Roman Reigns into the show with his run-in and another typically awkward interview. Man, he's getting tougher and tougher to watch!

Derrick in Utah: Thumbs in the middle show. The effort was there, but the stars did not align for an overly memorable show. The stipulations blended together, making most weapon shots meaningless and repetitive. Most of the roster was protected in some manner, which I suppose is necessary for the ascent to the Rumble and the road to WrestleMania. In my opinion, the show did provide some momentum needed to climb out of the five=month creative rut. I guess we will see if the momentum is sustained tomorrow and onward. The best match was Dolph vs. Harper; nice to see a ladder match where the crowd cheers for someone to win, instead of just popping for high spots. Reign's return was played right, as it felt like a Superstar reaction. Wyatt and Ambrose tried their hardest in the main event, but could not get the live crowd to fully invest.

Keith Sterling of Albuquerque, N.M. (4.5/5): This is the best PPV of the year, but it was not five stars because of the Divas match. All the other matches were exciting. To me, it was a four-way tie for match of the night: one stairs match, one ladder match, one tables match, and one TLC match.

Dee in N. Ireland (5.0): I am going to be generous with my score. Themed PPVs such as this I struggle to get behind in the PG era due to how watered down the action feels. This was a three-hour underwhelming exhibit of wrestling with poor match finishes and had the feeling of "let's just get through this." The ladder match was the best of a bad bunch of matches, while the stairs, chairs, and TLC matches were repetitive and failed to hold my attention. Speaking of repetitive can WWE stop with the Rusev-Swagger feud? Enough is enough. The finishes to the Tag Title match and TLC could and should have been better. In the latter I think Ambrose is about to be buried with such a weak finish. He ended up looking more heel than the actual heel, Bray Wyatt. On the bright side at least the WWE Title is coming back to TV after this. Side note: was my WWE Network feed the only one experiencing issues? Several times the video skipped backwards like a Vine restarting and continued playing. In some cases it flash-forwarded but the backwards skip was more frequent. The resolution throughout the night also dropped frequently despite having a strong Internet signal.
