QOTD REAX #2: Is WWE pushing it with their recent PPV finishes? - "I am upset because it feels like an NWO PPV"

QUESTION OF THE DAY: Assuming you watch WWE PPVs on the Network now, do you feel less upset when there is a non-finish/screwy finish to a big match/PPV main event? Or, do you still feel upset no matter how much you're paying compared to the previous PPV price?

- DAMIAN REPLIES: I am upset with screwy finishes because it feels like an NWO PPV. It should only be acceptable if it's "free," and even then bookers should pick their moments and not overdo it. There should not be apologizing or defending screwjob main event finishes for the monthly PPVs on the Network. In this case, the Hell in a Cell was bait and switch. I knew Kane would show up, but a cleaner finish would not have hurt Dean Ambrose or Seth Rollins. Bray Wyatt isn't really "returning" anyway, and or making a debut. I have a couple of friends who disagree by saying it was a set up for a great pay-off. My argument is that there was not one great match on the show to make up for the disappointing main event. A paying customer should feel satisfied. I want quality matches and at least one excellent match. HIAC's main event unfortunately was overbooked - even without Bray Wyatt.

- RYAN BERGLUND REPLIES: Actually, yes. When I used to order about half of the pay-per-views based solely on the card that cost 50-60 bucks, I would feel like I wasted that money. But with the Network I use it so much for NXT, Main Event, and the original content that, yes, I am upset with screwy finishes, but I just don't care as much. That being said, the lower price is not justification for screwy finishes.

- RUDY REPLIES: I still get upset at these type of finishes. I felt the whole match was deflated by the finish (even though it may mean a push for Bray Wyatt). I order the WWE Network for the PPVs and for the specials, while I still watch the older stuff on occasion. This is the first PPV that I did not go to in my area in a long time, and I am also not planning to go to the Raw in January. There is nothing to get excited about anymore. It’s become close enough to cancel the Network when the time comes and just order it for one month (and pay extra) for events like WrestleMania at a time. Side Note: they also need to fix the Google Chrome / Chromecast issue. I want to watch it on my big screen TV, not on my PC screen.

- ELDER DAVID R. LEATH REPLIES: I do not care whether I watch a PPV on the Network or traditional PPV pricing. I am sick and tired of non-creative and non-entertaining matches and/or finishes. WWE is giving lackluster so-called entertainment because they can. There is no significant competition to force them raise their level of productivity, like WCW did in the 1990s due to the launch of Nitro. I was happy when WWE won the Monday Night Wars, but I am left asking myself some 13 years later: What did WWE really win? It seems like all they have done is purchase their main reason to be cutting age and entertaining. Without that, I'd rather go back to 1986 and watch "Hulk Hogan and the WWF Superstars" cartoons.
