READER REAX #2: Did you ever watch TNA and if so, why did you stop? "There is nothing they could do to reel me in, this side of C.M. Punk."

Today we are asking: We're asking you today, though, have you ever watched TNA Impact? How long did you watch it? What caused you to watch it at first and, if you've stopped, what caused you to stop watching it? And finally, is there anything they could do that would cause you to start watching it regularly again?

VIP member Kevin Buckley: I used to watch TNA pretty regularly since they debuted on Fox Sports Net. I DVR'd it every week and usually watched because I am a big wrestling fan and I liked to see some of their stars like Samoa Joe, James Storm, A.J. Styles, etc. I thought the booking was horrendous most of the time, but still had enough good matches to make it worth my while. I never ordered a PPV, but went to one Slammiversary, one house show, and one One Night Only taping and thought it was an enjoyable experience. Their blatantly copying WWE angles the last couple of years was getting really annoying and the last straw was when Eric Young became champion just because he was smaller wrestler with a beard. Nothing against him, but it just seemed stupid. Outside of C.M. Punk showing up or some major buzz regarding their shows, I won't return as viewer or attend live events.

James Sirigos: I stopped watching TNA because they have no identity of their own.

Damian from Florida: I have watched TNA Impact under 3-5 times since 2008. I never managed three weeks in a row. The initial draw was the indy wrestlers in the X Division. Yet I couldn't take the announcing, angles, or production values. I believe I watched the reboot show when Hulk Hogan first arrived, a Jeff Hardy appearance, and a Joker Sting one. I wanted to support another wrestling league on TV, but the ex-WWE stars seemed like they were taking a huge step down. I couldn't tolerate the backstage politics. Names like Jarrett, Bischoff, Hogan, Carter, Russo, Cornette, and Nash made me skeptical. I am a fan of Sting, Angle, Hardys, Samoa Joe, ROH guys, and others, but the bad skits and interviews pushed me away. From the in-ring standpoint, the lack of psychology disturbed me. There were too many spot-monkeys or slow veterans. TNA seemed to copy the worst of WWE and WCW which is a shame because some guys could work well in the ring. The frequent title changes, lame skits, and authority figure storylines have kept me away. There is nothing they could do to reel me in, this side of C.M. Punk.

Derrick H.: There were a few times my interest was sparked by TNA Impact. The arrival of Christian was exciting. The Kurt Angle-Samoa Joe feud was promising. Lastly, a number of A.J. Styles feuds, notably with Joe, Christopher Daniels, and Abyss, had me altering my schedule to ensure I was home to watch the television program. Unfortunately, TNA was never able to sustain my interest and my viewing patronage for a long tenure. I think the longest I ever watched the program on a weekly basis was three months. It is not like one program turned my stomach to a point of declaring I will not watch TNA next week. It was more the result of a series of lackluster, uninspiring programs where my interest waned and the program became a commodity to fulfill an unoccupied 1-2 hours instead of destination television. If I could hand-pick a few things that turned me away from the product it was the consistent portrayal of Jeff Jarrett as a main eventer, long-winded talk segments, over-utilized stables (Millionaires Club, Aces & Eights, etc.), and the presentation of my former wrestling heroes putting on lazy and uninspired performances on a consistent basis.

Send us your thoughts, too! We are asking: Have you ever watched TNA Impact? How long did you watch it? What caused you to watch it at first and, if you've stopped, what caused you to stop watching it? And finally, is there anything they could do that would cause you to start watching it regularly again? Keep it pithy, around 200 words. Send to pwtorch@gmail.com.
