WWE Raw Reax #3: Was Santino & Ricardo's bit the highlight of the show?, concern over Divas division & three-hour Raws

-- WWE Raw Reax 5/21

John D of Liverpool, England, receptionist, 26 (2.0): Best Bit: None. Worst Bit: Most of the show. Raw was lousy this week. Nothing really stood out and it featured crap matches, lousy segments, and too much John Laurinaitis (again). The Divas division is a lost cause in WWE. I simply can't be bothered watching Beth Phoenix and Kelly Kelly erm wrestle. Layla coming back was very welcoming, but I simply want to see Kharma return. Could you imagine if WWE had kept Gail Kim under contract instead of letting her disappear into thin air and delivered Kim and Kharma? Talk about a refreshing scenario... The main event was simply too dull for me. Regular Reax readers know I'm no fan of Tensai and my fears were confirmed when he participated in the main event. If Dolph Ziggler does not win in the Money in the Bank ladder match at MITB in July, I think I'll just stop watching WWE completely. Speaking of July, I dread when Raw goes to three hours.

Richard H. of Wilmington, Ohio: How about a big old cup of "same old crap." Or, maybe WWE can just keep recycling old plotlines for WWE's Creative team and let them know how things are supposed to be done. WWE obviously has no clue. The most enjoyable thing I recall from Monday's Raw was, and I am loath to admit it, Santino's interplay with Ricky Rrrrrrrodrrrrrriguez's announcing style. I actually enjoyed it and laughed out loud at their antics. After that, it went downhill faster than an Olympics skier. The matches were bland at best, predictable and phoned in at worst. Did anyone think that there was not going to be a beat down on the faces before they were "rescued" by their fellow good guys? Worst had to be Big Show able to sucker-punch Cena - again. How obtuse do you have to be not to see a 7', 400+ pound monster standing two feet away from you? Why are people still watching this show so regularly? It has become the soap opera wrestling resembles in the worst way. If you miss an episode, don't worry, nothing serious happens without tons of foreboding and hours of video replays from assorted angles.

Eric in Michigan: Punk and Bryan's interaction was the best of this dreck. Three-hour Raws? Yikes.

Joe of Philadelphia, Pa.: Best: Nothing. Worst: Everything. This Raw was a disgrace. First, this Cena-Johnny/Show feud sucks. Johnny is getting stale and boring. This story between him and Cena is a lot like the story between Cena and Bischoff where Bischoff was trying to get anybody to beat Cena. It seems like WWE's Creative team is just digging up ideas from the past... The Divas division is dead to me. There are about three Divas total on the roster. (Where's Kharma?!?!) It also seems like the WWE Title is at the level of the U.S. Title at this point. WWE is just too obsessed with this whole People Power storyline... The three-hour transition makes me sick just thinking about it. If Raw keeps this type of stuff up, come the 1,000th episode and the three-hour transition, I think we can say good-bye to the longest-running, weekly episodic television show in history.
