-- 1/26 Question of the Day Reax: Who is your top pick to make a surprise entry in the Royal Rumble?

Predictions for Triple H

Nicholas McClymont of Aberdeenshire: My surprise entrant would be "The Game" Triple H and I would have him face The Miz or Randy Orton at Mania. Or, I would have Christian win as a surprise entrant and have him face Edge or Dolph Ziggler in the main event at Mania.

Justin James of Lexington, S.C.: I wonder if it counts as a “surprise entrant” if Triple H is in the Rumble? Real surprises for me? Beth Phoenix getting a real elimination (not like last year), Awesome Kong, Brodus Clay (he can easily hang with the mid-card already), Christian, Percy Watson (JR says he's high on him), Finlay, Khali, or Chris Jericho are possibilities. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dolph Ziggler, Edge, Randy Orton, or The Miz sneak in after losing a title match earlier in the night. True shocks (but within the realm of possibility) would be Undertaker, Goldberg, Ricky Steamboat, Bret Hart, Ultimate Warrior, Arn Anderson, or IRS. I would not be surprised to see a number of “legends” show up just to round out the 40.

Predictions for Christian

Kim, PWTorch reader: If I could pick a surprise Rumble entrant, it would be Christian, even if he might not be ready to come back. I would have him win the Rumble and challenge Edge at WrestleMania for the World Title belt.

Scott of Chicago, Ill.: If I had to pick one surprise entrant, it would be Christian. I wouldn't have him win it, though, since I think that honor goes to Del Rio. Seeing as how the two have history I would like to see Del Rio eliminate him with the help of Ricardo Rodriguez. This could set up Christian's quest for revenge going into the Elimination Chamber, with Del Rio's WM shot on the line in a singles/grudge match. Del Rio screws over Christian again and chooses Edge to face at Mania. However, a returning Teddy Long decides to make it a triple threat match for the World Title with Edge defending against Del Rio and Christian. Del Rio walks out with the title at Mania and Christian takes his frustrations out on his former partner afterward, thus turning heel. This could set up a major feud between Edge and Christian that should finally solidify Christian as a main event player and lead him to his first (WWE) World Title in 2011.

Predictions for Chris Jericho

T.J. Crawford of Boston, Mass.: While there are a few people on the shelf that I could see coming back for the Rumble (Triple H, and then Christian, Evan Bourne, and Skip Sheffield to a lesser degree), I would consider it a true surprise to see Chris Jericho make a brief return. A true shocker of a surprise would be someone outside of the company returning for the Rumble, and I would have to put Kevin Nash at the top of the list for someone coming back to WWE for a one-night pop. Afterward, I could see WWE taking the logical step of putting him into the 2011 Hall of Fame class alongside Shawn Michaels.

BLKS, PWTorch reader: When it comes to the Rumble and the new gimmick of 40 wrestlers, all that tells me that there will be some quick eliminations. Or, perhaps a forum like C.M. Punk had for the SES last year. There is also the whole Wolfpack vss. NWO Hollywood vibe, but I digress. I think you will see someone return along the lines of Michael Tarver and Skip Sheffield to take a side. I would like to say Undertaker, but I think they'll save him for a thrown-together match at WrestleMania, at best. I would also like to say Triple H, but for him not to win would be weird. I think Chris Jericho would have to be the most surprising entrant.

Predictions for Others

Simon Rowley of London, England: My preferred surprise entrant would be The Undertaker to clear out much of the dross comprising the over-sized 40-man Rumble. However, with Cena and Edge both making surprise returns - and winning - in the last three years, I wouldn't want Taker to win. I'd simply like to see him go to town on Nexus and Corre, potentially setting up a match with C.M. Punk at WrestleMania. I hold the belief that the additional ten entrants is a way for John Cena to break the "most eliminations" record, and I fully expect him to win the Rumble and defeat The Miz at WM27.

Darren of Roseville, Calif.: Here is my bold prediction for the Rumble. My surprise entrant will be...The Miz. He will lose the WWE Title to Orton, but then enter the Rumble and win it. The Miz will then re-capture the WWE Title in the Elimination Chamber, then challenge the World Hvt. champion from Smackdown to a unification match at WrestleMania. This will lead to Chris Jericho's face return attacking Miz, claiming to be the real Undisputed champion being the first one in WWE history.

Hussam in KSA: I would like to see Batista make his WWE return at the Rumble. Bobby Lashley and Booker T would also be interesting returns, although that doesn't seem likely. I would not want any of the three to win, though, because my pick to win is an injure Christian. But, since that's not happening, John Morrison is long overdue for a title run. I really think that having him win this year's Royal Rumble would be the best choice for the sake of WWE's business.

Nestor Sanchez of Los Angeles, Calif.: I would select Booker T as a surprise entrant in this year's Royal Rumble setting up King Booker vs King Sheamus at WrestleMania.

Simon, PWTorch reader: Macho Man Randy Savage, without a doubt. There all already rumors of him being a possible 2011 Hall of Fame candidate and to have him return at the Royal Rumble and reprise his "Macho King" persona would be an excellent fit. Then, have him feud with Sheamus and/or Triple H to see who the greatest "king" is. Maybe even have Jerry Lawler announce Savage's entrance in the Rumble setting up one final run in the ring and on the mic working with current stars.

Ashok K. of Toronto, Ont.: I see many people such as Triple H, Jericho, and Christian as surprise entrants, but I think the person who could shock everyone would be The Rock. With his movie career currently in neutral, I expect Rock to surprise WWE fans at the Rumble.
