Question of the Day Reax #1: Booking the Survivor Series main event - any scenario where Orton is still champion?, Miz, R-Truth, Summerslam '97 finish

-- Question of the Day 11/17: How do you see WWE booking the finish to Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett involving John Cena at Survivor Series?

Mohammad Al-Attar of Kuwait: I think the end of the WWE Title match will be related to R-Truth in someway that will lead to Truth turning heel. I see The Miz cashing in the Money in the Bank contract after the match since both Truth and Miz are not on the PPV card.

Francis Lambourne, PWTorch reader: There is only one way I can see the Orton-Barrett match finishing. Orton gets distracted by Cena, Barrett hits Wasteland, and he scores a reasonably clean win. After the match, Cena begins his promised beat down on Barrett and the inevitable Nexus run-in is headed off by the Raw roster. With Nexus dealt with and Barrett left on his back in the ring, it will finally be time for The Miz to cash in Money in the Bank, possibly with Cena refereeing that match now he's free of Nexus. So, Barrett wins the match, but Miz leaves with the title.

Chris Holland, PWTorch reader: It would seem that winning MITB almost guarantees a title victory. I'd like to see a change; what I would like to see happen at Survivor Series is: (Prelude) Cole announces Cena has a one-day referee license for the match, effectively leaving him free to referee any match and not just the main event. Done subtly, it wouldn't give away my twist. (1) Cena calls the Barrett-Orton match down the middle, Barrett wins. (2) Barrett is punted after the bell, leaving him on his back in the middle of the ring. (3) Miz cashes in, using a "free from Nexus" Cena as his referee. (4) The crowd thinks Cena will count the three for Miz, as he is no longer a part of Nexus. (5) Cena hits Miz with the AA and pulls Barrett on top of Miz to count the three. (6) Cena completes his heel turn, Barrett retains, and Miz loses his "cashed in" match. I can also see something similar happening with the Kane-Edge match. I think Kane is in on the Nexus revolution, so perhaps Nexus helps Kane retain or Cena replaces the ref and favors Kane?

Mike Cupach, PWTorch reader: I think Barrett will go over Orton either cleanly or with cheating that Cena doesn't see. Then, the next night on Raw, Cena comes out to say that he is now free and he wants a piece of Wade Barrett. He wants revenge, he wants Wade's title, and then Wade comes out and says that he changed his mind and he will not let Cena leave Nexus. They may use some loophole or justification with Cena giving Barrett the AA from last week's Raw as a reason why Cena can't leave Nexus. Also, Cena will never lay a finger on Barrett again and he will never give Cena a title shot. This could set up Cena to win the Royal Rumble and give Cena a way to get a shot at Barrett, but WWE will have to be willing to keep the title on Barrett until WrestleMania.

Andrew Bello of Parsippany, N.J.: This Sunday, Cena is going to call it down the middle, and Barrett is going to lose. Cena will avoid the firing with yet another loophole. If Cena is "property of Nexus," and must listen to the leader of Nexus, then Otunga and Cena start a mutiny to kick Barrett out. Otunga becomes the new leader and Cena is granted his freedom, if he even wants it at that point.

BB1984, PWTorch reader: I could see something like the Summerslam 1997 match with Shawn Michaels as special referee in The Undertaker vs. Bret Hart match. Instead of a chair to the head, I can see Barrett grabbing the belt to use against Orton, but Cena grabs the belt to use on Barrett, but misses and hits Orton. Or, maybe R-Truth decides to go heel and attack Orton.
