Steve Berger of Beachwood, Ohio (4.5): No best or worst this week. The show as a whole was just kind of flat with more emphasis on video recaps than wrestling or the Rookies. The more I watch NXT, the more disappointed I am, not with the wrestlers, since they have all shown potential, but with the lack of thought and planning that WWE has put into this show. So, we were given criteria for the voting, yet it sounds like the first vote will only establish ranking, not eliminate or reward anyone. Having win/loss records being one of the criteria just insures that this is a pure work with no element of reality (and yes I realize most reality shows are far from reality) since who wins is controlled. I am becoming concerned that the Daniel Bryant storyline will become another example where WWE books a wrestler to lose and then never books the turnaround because he loses all support after being booked to lose so much.

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (5.0): Best: Young/Otunga vs. Tarver/Bryan. Worst: replays. Supershow TV tapings kill programming; that's all there is to it. Most of Raw was video packages and nearly half of NXT was video packages. The Rookie videos were fine since the "Pro poll" is next week, but why the Raw and Smackdown videos? Both matches on the show were decent, but the crowd got restless. I took note of the "Wrap It Up" sign in the crowd and felt insulted. It's good to know there's criteria being considered now. Win-loss records were getting a little too much emphasis, though the obvious basic goal of any wrestler is to win matches. I liked how Josh Matthews got in the comment that Bryan's win-loss record should be balanced by his opposition (save Khali). Work ethic and "the it factor" weren't really addressed, although I think WWE would go the lazy route and file "it" under the catch-all word "charisma." Instead of the match videos, why couldn't some promos have been done? Such as, have the guys on the win-loss bubble state their case to stay on the show. The Rookie videos were fine, as I said before, but these were already in the can. How about some new material showing them working out, getting training from their respective pros, studying past show tapes, etc.? Next week, I'll be in the crowd for the "Poll" show. For the record, based on more subjective criteria, I have "passed" seven and "failed" one. If I can help it, I'm hoping to have my "votes" shown.
