-- 3/8 WWE Raw Reax

Jonathan of Colorado: Best Segment: Hart-Vince. Worst Segment: Divas. I really liked tonight's show. Just goes to show that all guest hosts should be former wrestlers because the show moves smoother and you don't have the stupid acts involving the celebs. I wish Stone Cold would have finally told the crowd to stop chanting "What?" all the time, though. Part of me was thinking Michael Cole was going to give away Impact results with their show being taped. I liked the double beat down on the babyfaces from the heels with Legacy, Hunter, and Orton. Cool visual. The Divas just need to go away. Also, is WWE going to stop a match at WrestleMania if someone starts to bleed? Stone Cold still has it and shows why WWE needs to be PG-14 and let their wrestlers have more free reign on the mic. Also, I thoroughly enjoyed the Taker-Michaels clip. All in all, an above-average show that got me interested in WrestleMania.

Simon Rowley of London, England (7.0): Best Match: Triple H vs. Randy Orton (amazingly). Worst Match: Maryse vs. Kelly Kelly (not so amazingly). The show started out promisingly, with Austin showing more charisma than the rest of the roster combined before even opening his mouth. The potential Austin-Cena interaction brought an air of anticipation, only to be deflated when it amounted to nothing. As it turned out, the first ten minutes was probably the best period of the show. Michaels-Jericho was a minor letdown, but at this stage in the year, I never expect anything more than fast and furious "Mania build-up," which obviously doesn’t accommodate a 20-minute match with ease. I've been loving the HBK-Taker feud, so I was disappointed the focus was on Edge-Jericho during the post-match following HBK-Jericho. However, I can see why they've done it, and I think it's right to keep physical interaction between Michaels-Taker to a minimum. The Hunter/Orton vs. Sheamus/Legacy handicap match next week is really unnecessary. At this stage, the last thing Orton and co. need is more in-ring interaction with one another. I didn't buy Orton’s backstage promo either; he seems to be softening too much for my liking. The referee putting on gloves due to Batista bleeding was over-the-top and distracting. The match was set for an imminent finish, and it should've been ignored. The long camera shots were enough to disguise the impact, and the referee drew more attraction to it than it otherwise would've received. The guy in the Cena shirt who ducked when confronted by Batista deserves a medal. The contract signing with Hart and McMahon seemed to fall flat. There was one good moment - when the camera panned to Hart and revealed the cast on the desk, but the injury explanation was labored and nobody seemed overly enthusiastic. Seems even Austin was unable to salvage this particular feud. Overall, it was a hit, but seemed rather predictable and ultimately plodding. Only the Hart-McMahon feud was progressed in any meaningful way. By that, I mean a newsworthy twist and/or addition to the storyline. This week's show may have proved one too many shows on the lengthy road to WrestleMania.
