-- 2/15 WWE Raw Reax

Justin James of Columbia, S.C., IT professional/author (2.0): Best: Cena-Batista confrontation. Worst: Spring Segment. My, how the mighty fall so quick. I had been looking forward to Monday's show all week. What a lame show. The whole DX situation needed follow-up (for example, did HBK quit or get fired or suspended or what, and why is DX not getting their re-match, and why did Triple H not seem to care or have anything to say?), and it wasn’t there. It felt like they just dropped the story, even though its obvious that Shawn Michaels will get into the Smackdown EC match somehow. For a show that had endless video segments, some of that time should have been used to build the Divas title match, given a few more minutes to Kingston-DiBiase, or otherwise had some follow-up. The Springer mess was an abject disaster. The only thing good I can say about it is that I seriously thought they were using it as a chance to reshuffle the entire mid-card, although I was wondering if they really wanted to run a “who’s the daddy?” angle on PG TV. The total debacle does not bode well for Cheech & Chong as guests, as they are similarly adult-oriented hosts on a PG show. Runjin Singh finally said something I agree with - that segment was a waste of time. The only good thing to say about it was the humor from the idea of Michael Cole getting together with Kelly Kelly. Jack Swagger is now officially on the “only seen in the hallway” list with the Colons, Alicia Fox, and Arn Anderson. Great. The only other good thing to say about this show was the Cena-Batista promo. Batista is on fire with his character, playing the smug, confident, and arrogant jerk in a refreshing way. Overall, Raw took all the momentum it had been building since January 4 and flushed it down the toilet.

Samantha of Washington, D.C. (1.0): Best Match: Orton vs. Sheamus. Worst Segment: Jerry Springer skit. Dear Lord, this was the worst Raw in a while. The Jerry Springer skit made me want to claw my eyes out. Who laughs when they admit that they are pregnant, but do not know who the father is? Kelly Kelly's acting skills make Paris Hilton look like Meryl Streep. Besides that, who on the creative staff thought that making jokes about pedophilia on a PG show aimed at children was a bright idea? Yeah, I already knew that about Jerry Lawler, WWE. Anyone who has heard his commentary during a divas match knows that. I am going to have to agree with the Great Khali via translation. ... Of the wrestling we did see, Orton vs. Sheamus was the best match by default. ShoMiz vs. Team Kool-Aid was a waste of time, as were the other two matches. I will not be buying the PPV unless Smackdown is good. ... The Bret Hart saga is getting real old real fast. That car accident scene was so lame. Bringing John Cena into it just made it worse. That guy has the most irritating manner of speaking. In what way did Batista's shirt look like it was for a baby? I guess Cena only finds two things funny: calling people babies and poop. Shawn Michaels was lucky to miss this show.

Todd of Greenville, N.C. (1.0): Best Match: Randy Orton vs. Sheamus. Worst Match: the rest of the show except for the Hart angle. Terrible show except for the Orton-Sheamus match and the Bret Hart angle. After that, the rest of the show was garbage. Just horrible. No other way to say it. The Springer Show segment was a total waste of time. Hornswoggle needs to be rolled up, stuffed into a cannon, and shot into Outer Space. After two decent shows, they dropped the ball right here and went back to the garbage they were and have been putting on TV for the last year. I don't understand what they are thinking? That's why I am so glad that TNA is going to Monday nights starting March 8. Guess which show this viewer will be watching! I will watch the Raw that Stone Cold hosts, but other than that, I am going to be watching the show that doesn't have a midget and John Cena as headliners.
