WWE Raw Reax #8: "This is becoming more and more what wrestling should not be and it pains me to watch"

-- 12/21 WWE Raw Reax

Michael B. of Ireland (1.0): Best Match: Swagger vs. Cena. Worst Match: everything else. Every week I read the comments made about Raw and I sometimes wonder if they are maybe too hard on WWE, but this week finished me off completely. I know for a fact that if I were nine-years-old and watching this show, I would think that WWE is run by idiots. The six-man tag was good, but it's nice to know Sheamus is being treated like a champ...by barely appearing on the show. I think everyone else has basically said what I thought of the DX/Hornswoggle skit and what makes it worse is that I don't see an end to it. These stupid storylines with Hornswoggle keep on going and going and going. Big Show calling out Santa Claus is the main event?! The creative team needs to look at the reviews on the Internet about this show because it is all negative. I have not seen a positive thing about Raw for a long time. Okay, I'll admit it is good they have gone PG to satisfy advertisers, but if they keep presenting this rubbish every week, they won't have an audience at all for the advertisers.

Andrew Vincent of Toronto, Ont.: Best Match: Legacy vs. Kingston/Henry/Bourne. Worst: Just about everything else. Okay, I am utterly baffled that WWE produced said show. Lately, it seems like the shows they are putting on are getting worse and worse week by week, which is good news for TNA. Can anyone explain how Chris Masters is getting more TV time than WWE's new champion, who needs the spotlight right now? Every time I see DX and, sadly, Shawn Michael acting like teenagers, I immediately change the channel. The fact is this is becoming more and more what wrestling should not be and it pains me to watch. The company's only hope for getting me to tune in again is to see Bret Hart in a wrestling ring/arena again. Otherwise, TNA, seize your moment now.

Stephanie of Toronto, Ont., student (9.0): Best Part: John Cena vs. Jack Swagger. Worst Part: DX skits. Apparently I am the only one who liked Raw this week! Aside from those terrible and painful DX skits, that is. I can understand why WWE is using the "little people skits," though. I can just imagine little 8-year-olds crying with laughter at this. However, it is an insult towards the actual wrestling fans. It would be nice to see some actual wrestling back on Raw. The divas match was just...okay. I though babyfaces didn't cheat? Either way, the cliched "Santa's Little Helper" match was just embarrassing for the whole Divas division. I thought the other matches were pretty decent, but WWE cemented MVP as a mid-carder...for the thousandth time. I really enjoyed the whole Masters, Carlito, and Eve ordeal. I though it was funny, and at least it gave Eve a bit of personality. ... I didn't think Damon was too bad? But, then again, I didn't see his opening. Chris Jericho as Santa was just...awkward. And the whole midget thing. Midgets ARE NOT that funny. Sorry, WWE. Just because I'm a student doesn't mean I think little people are hilarious. The legends as "impostor" Santa Clauses was decent. The Bellas were pretty good. The DX skits were just painful. I tried to sit through them, but it was near impossible. Then, there was Tiger Woods. Wow. That's all I have to say about that! Contradictory to my comments, I enjoyed Raw. At least things were mixed up and shaken up a bit.
