WWE Bragging Rights PPV Reax #1: "The show wasn't really bad, just didn't seem important. It didn't feel like a special show..." Oct 25, 2009 - 10:42:53 PM
Luke Fleeman of Tulare, Calif. (5.0): Best Match: Cena vs. Orton. Worst Match: Seven-on-seven. I hadn't ordered a PPV from WWE in a while, and this one didn't convince me to do so again in the future. Compared to Bound for Glory, this was the second best Pay-Per-View this month. The show wasn't really bad, just didn't seem important. It didn't feel like a special show, or like anything big was happening. The Miz vs. Morrison match and Divas match were both serviceable and fine. Cena-Orton was a good 60-minute match, even though they used a lot of shortcuts and stalling to get through it. The big problem was the ho-hum booking. Taker won the four-way and now WWE has completely killed C.M. Punk's heat. Batista predictably turned on Rey. The Cena-Orton match result seemed anti-climactic. The feud should have blown off, but now it seems primed to go again. Orton also seems flat, unable to ever beat Cena. The biggest shenanigan was the seven-on-seven match. A standard, basic big tag match with a weird finish. It didn't resolve anything, felt flat, and was just there. No real heat, no great pops, just there. I presume that this is mainly facilitating a JeriShow-DX feud, which I will predict ends with DX standing tall, AGAIN.
Phil of Arizona (7.0): Best Match: Cena vs. Orton. Worst Match: Divas tag, just by default. This was a show of good matches with one great match. A really easy show to watch. The only problem being that no one was really elevated.
