WWE Raw Reax #3: "There are two things that are absolutely killing WWE right now..."

-- 10/12 WWE Raw Reax

Sergio Holguin of Phoenix, Ariz. (4.0): Best: The idea of "Who is the Jannetty" (Miz vs. Morrison). Worst: Cena over-saturation. There are two things that are absolutely killing WWE right now: PG "family entertainment" and writers flip-flopping characters. Once it was confirmed that Hell in a Cell would be bloodless, I happily put my 40 bucks back in my wallet and just read the results at the end of the night. Here's the deal that makes WWE look insane: a PG product is force-fed to the fans, yet Vince can say homophobic slurs and Hunter can make homophobic jokes week after week. Make up your mind, WWE. Just stick with a family show so I can switch to Impact so I don't have to hear grown men threaten to kick each other's "behinds." Remember when guys like MVP, Bourne, and Swagger were brought in to save Raw and freshen up the roster with new blood? Well, MVP and Bourne have been buried and the writers are barely throwing a bone to Swagger with an "undefeated" storyline. Remember when Randy Orton would knock on your front door and RKO your grandma? Now, he runs away from EVERY match and cannot level up to Cena man-to-man. Remember when Jericho would talk trash and then back it up? Now he's taking losses, challenging Bob Barker, and playing lil' bro to the Big Show. On the bright side, Rhodes and DiBiase look like they may be going their own way soon which could inject some youth into the main event picture. It would have been nice to see them with the tag belts, but new faces are needed and they are ready. Finally, the one thing that gives me hope: Miz and Morrison both with mid-level belts. Both of these guys will main-event consistently within the next five years.

Samantha Papacalousis of Washington, D.C. (2.0): Best Match: Rhodes vs. Cena vs. DiBiase triple threat. Worst Match: Divas tag match. I did not enjoy this week's guest hosts at all. I am a big fan of Access Hollywood, but Nancy and Maria were hosts who did not appear to know about wrestling. And am I really supposed to believe that Maria could actually beat up Beth Phoenix? DX is now a complete waste of time. DX in the Attitude Era was raunchy and hilarious. I remember the strip poker game that they had in 1997. I hate how those fond memories have been tarnished by this family-friendly garbage. I despise Hornswoggle. I liked the triple threat match because I am a big Legacy fan, though I can't stand Cena's character. I hope Orton wins the title at the PPV. I loved the Miz's promo. Y2J is so mistreated, as is Evan Bourne, who I see as a younger and better Rey Mysterio. And where was HBK anyways? Final score was a 2.0. Would have been a 3.0 if Santino did not say that cringe-worthy line about organisms.
