WWE Raw Reax #1: "WWE did a great job making progress with Randy Orton's character."

Matt Guerra of Bayonne, N.J. (4.0): Who was bored a little more - the live audience or me watching this? Best match of the night: there was none. Worst match of the night: Sim Snuka vs. whatever they did to Charlie Haas. Two major things bother me with the WWE right now. One, why is it all the divas wear pants and all the men wear skimpy shorts? There is something very, very wrong with this. The other is Chris Jericho. They can get anyone on the roster to play this boring dead-pan character. Why waste him, why waste the talent that Jericho is? Get ready Christian Cage because when you show up this is your fate - a push, then you become an also- ran. Don't worry folks, Mike "I'm not in shape" Knox is almost off the roster. About four more months.

Matt Johnson of Norway, Mich. (8.0): Best: the storyline progression of Randy Orton's character. Worst: Hardy vs. Snuka. WWE did a great job making progress with Randy Orton's character. The lady-killer side of his character has been gone for a while, even though he legitimately draws that reaction from female fans. I understand that he is married and may not be willing to do some things, but it would be an error to shut down that side of his personality all-together. I hope that there is more to it when it comes to Kelly and him. It is also great that Manu might not be a part of Legacy anymore. He simply does not fit in. Great job mixing in the talent throughout the show. The ten-man tag match allowed young talent to rub elbows with John Cena. The main event did its job in continuing the JBL-Michaels storyline.

Elena Douglas of Dallas, Tex. (6.0): Best: JBL winning the #1 contender match. Worst: Divas Battle Royale. This was not a good Raw to watch. First, Rey Mysterio is not good on the mic; it's not like starting the show with Jericho, who's the best. Plus, they set Knox up like he's some monster and he gets chased away by Superhero Cena and then cleanly handled by him less than an hour later? Watching the divas on Raw is pretty sad in comparison to watching them on Smackdown. I think Maryse hobbling around on a bad knee would be more impressive than they are. Seeing Mickie and Melina fight makes me wish Melina was a heel again. These two really bring out the best in each other. Melina winning was predictable as was the Roucka run-in. Mickie was a much better stalker fan. Plus, she was Trish Stratus's stalker. Trish was/is the most popular, so it made sense for the crazy fan. Orton is the true star of the show and the fans actually loudly cheering for him was the proof in the pudding. JBL anywhere near a PPV main event is awful. I'm surprised they didn't bust out the Fingerpoke of Doom. Thank goodness I won't be buying the Royal Rumble.
