Hank Schaller, VIP member of Muskegon, Mich. (9.0): Best match: Trish Stratus & John Cena beating WWE's weirdest couple - Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix. Worst match: All were good. Worst move of the night was continuing the "Vincent Kennedy McMahon is still injured" storyline even though he appeared on camera during the Tribute to the Troops. Even fans who are taken in by the hocus pocus of wrestling storylines must realize McMahon is healthy and hardy if they watched both programs. Batista being injured made sense because he was injured. Rey Mysterio losing made sense because it allowed JBL's newest employee to slap him setting the stage what should be a WrestleMania main event between JBL and HBK. I took one point off the telecast because of the decision to continue the asinine storyline involving VKM.

Marquis M. of Shreveport, La. (8.5): Best Match: Jericho vs. Punk. Worst Match: Kofi Kingston vs. Manu. Shawn Michaels vs. Kane was a pretty good match. And I guess Kane apologizing to Kelly ends that angle before it really started? Kofi vs. Manu was decent while it lasted, and Manu is really good in the ring, but it seems like WWE refuses to make any of the younger Legacy guys look good. Unless Kofi is in for another push, or Deu...I mean Sim, is going be taking Manu's spot, Manu really should have gone over tonight. The women's match was okay. Melina's finisher looks sicker each time she does it. I was surprised that I was actually somewhat entertained by a JBL match. Maybe it was Rey that kept it interesting. In any event, the end-sequence was good. And Shawn's DQ was awesome and pretty creative. I still can't begin to believe this angle, but I like the fact that creative has gone to the effort of addressing each plot hole one by one, and as logically as possible. Punk vs. Jericho was an excellent, damn-near PPV-quality match. The defiant, hometown crowd also added to the dynamic. The finish was really well done as well. I'd love to see them work more matches together. Seeing Trish Stratus back was definitely something that had to be saved for the end. I figured from the start of the night it would be her, but there was also a chance it could be Gail Kim, given she's also from Toronto. Beth and Trish worked really well together, given Trish hadn't wrestled in over two years. This was probably a one-time appearance, but I'd love to see them get a short feud and an extended one-on-one match, maybe at the Royal Rumble, where Trish can put Beth over. Overall, this was a surprisingly solid episode of Raw.
