Reax to 11/27 TNA Impact on Spike TV

David from Missouri (8.5): Best Match: Three-Way Finals. Worst Match: Christy-Raesha. Is it just me, or does making Rhino the leader of the "Frontline" just make A.J. & Joe look weak? The Frontline vs. Mafia angle has gone from the Mafia wanting respect from the younger guys, to now somehow TNA's viability as a company is at stake. I hate this type of Russo/Jarrett booking where they've made it all about TNA, TNA going bankrupt, and WCW and ECW references. I hated how Rhino said the Frontline guys weren't experienced enough so they need to new recruit Team 3D. Rhino just defeated the whole purpose of the Frontline group; that they want to take the Mafia's main event slots. I like Team 3D, but LAX should have been in this spot. LAX shouldn't be downgraded to the Feast or Fired match. You have Joe & A.J. teaming with veterans to try to beat the group of veterans that hate young guys. It's backwards like Russo's WCW era. The Turkey Bowl matches were okay. I'm surprised Beer Money wasn't on this show. Alex Shelley getting a little bit of a push is fine by me and Mick Foley is always entertaining. The finish of the show was good even though I think LAX should have been in that spot. It was creative at least. I still hate the stupid stipulations for the eight-man main event at the PPV, but the match itself should be great and Rhino vs. Angle should be good too. I'm used to this formula of backwards booking but awesome PPVs from TNA, so Final Resolution should be decent. I think if more people didn't focus so much on the weird booking from TNA, and just enjoyed the PPV matches, they'd be a lot happier with TNA.

Reax to 11/28 WWE Smackdown on MyNetworkTV

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (7.0) Best: Jeff Hardy vs. Kendrick. Worst: Michelle's "turn." I debated this score for the longest time for one reason: knowing the finish the moment Vickie booked "Beat the Clock." I knew there would be a tie of some kind, but thankfully it wasn't in Jeff's match. That match set the psychology of all three matches where the opponent toyed, taunted, ducked, and dodged. Also, Jeff also did a fine job to sell the after-effects of the sneak attack. Kozlov now has two technical losses in less than a week. The match with Matt Hardy wasn't all that bad, which seriously casts doubt on his culpability in the Triple H-Kozlov match on Sunday. I'm convinced the match was meant to be methodical and toned down to temper Edge's return and Jeff's run-in; it was just too methodical, and that can't all be Kozlov's doing. Michelle's turn isn't a turn for what I heard come out of her mouth. She was angry for the loss and angry because the loss came from miscommunication by the newcomers. Maria comes out to try and mediate, and somehow Michelle is suddenly title-threatened. Where did the string of logic come from? If they follow up next week with a "title has corrupted Michelle" angle, I'm good with that, but I'm not sure we'll see it. Hunter-Shelton was a decent match in the ring and followed the "play the clock" psychology well. As over-booked as it looked, the finish made sense for what was to come with a triple threat match.

Reax to 11/29 Hulk Hogan's "Celebrity Championship Wrestling" show

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (8.0): Best: Danny vs. Dustin vs. Todd. Worst: Bean vs. Dennis (within the match, not the whole). This show was definitely one of those cases where 90 minutes would have really helped explain details. There was some explanation of what a triple threat match is and the psychology of tentative alliances, but not much else. Same in regards to the Big Man match. I was miffed at how the "medical check-up" was very poorly handled. The check-ups are usually done privately, and yet everyone and their BROTHERs were watching. I would rather have Dustin be open about his pains rather than someone not saying something in fear of being "weak." And was I hearing things, or was there a lot of kissing up to Hogan? As the weeks have progressed, Hulk has moved more toward the center of attention, which I thought were the contestants. Bean vs. Dennis was a decent Big Man match (tall man vs. heavy man). Dennis is too stiff, but was willing to take a bump on what looked like bare floor, so the action of the match balanced itself out. My trouble with this match was something in the story. Both came out like heels, although Dennis has been face. There looked to be a double-turn attempted within the match, but it was only partially accomplished. Bean got a face reaction, but so did Dennis. The post-match may have been the last attempt to complete the double turn, but the crowd seemed confused. The triple threat had a lot to like considering what little time went to put this match together. Todd takes top rope bumps nicely and he is quietly impressing me. Dustin was the only one with negative comments (which I agreed with), and yet Danny was eliminated. I've got issues with this one. My scorecard from worst to best would read: Dustin, Dennis, Bean, Danny, and Todd. I would have loved to have seen the full matches to see if I would have seen it differently.
