WWE Raw Reax #2: "WWE should bottle this crowd because I don't think I've heard a crowd that pro-Cena in years."

Art "Bucky" Blarr of Buffalo, N.Y. (6.0): Best Match: Batista vs. Orton vs. Jericho. Worst Match: C.M. Punk vs. Snitsky. After seeing C.M. Punk's match with Snitsky, I can't believe he was worthy enough to hold the World Title. He did not look like, wrestle as, or carry himself as a former World Champion at all. I was highly disappointed in his match. Overall, it was not a great show coming off a major PPV. Besides the triple threat match, the main highlight for me was Morrison pounding on Michaels, as Morrison showed phenomenal intensity with every shot he threw at Michaels, and having JBL run in to attack Morrison just added to the great finish. The DX promo was entertaining, as I always think Michaels is hilarious in his DX role. Even though the surprise return of Melina was ruined, I thought the match was enjoyable and Melina looked great. I'm hoping there's a new holiday album by Jillian Hall, as I love her singing character. Cena attacking Jericho was great ending to a lackluster show.

Matt Guerra of Bayonne, N.J. (4.0): John Cena returned, sucked up to the fans, and obliterated his next PPV opponent in a matter of minutes. It's bad booking, lazy writing, and just about sums up the rest of this show. I like the impending fight between Stephanie and Shane McMahon but everything else can be done away with. Santino, you're our best guy right now, let's bury you. That's how you get ratings. I just cannot wait until Mike Knox takes on Mysterio. I mean he is such a "monster" the way he stares at guys "a little too hard" and breathes heavily. Does anyone else see a title run in his future? Didn't think so.

Alex Roberts in the U.K. (8.5): Best Match: Jericho vs. Batista vs. Orton. Worst Match: Snitsky vs. Punk. On the whole, I really enjoyed Raw this week. The opening McMahon kids segment felt like its came a few weeks too early, but was enjoyable none the less and continues to push an interesting dynamic between the two of them although I don't understand why this fight takes place solely on Raw. The Intercontinental Title tournament seems to have been created to shift DVDs by reminding everyone that the title used to be important. Maybe it'll also remind the creative team to give the belt a lasting push. Of course, they've already telegraphed the winner of this tournament as C.M. Punk so it lacks any real drama. Speaking of Punk where was he when his tag team partner and fellow tag champ was getting beaten down? That's twice now Punk has let his partner get beaten down and twice Kofi Kingston has taken a random beating for no reason. The wheels have come off his push and the push of the tag division. Speaking of tag teams, I'm not a huge fan of Michaels/Mysterio getting their win back over Miz/Morrison this week, but Morrison turned things around nicely with his post-match beat down. The potential of a Morrison vs. Michaels feud is awesome. The triple threat contenders match was a logical match that produced the goods and was booked incredibly well, plus it set up that excellent Cena-Jericho confrontation to end the show. There was a sense of clawing desperation about Cena's promo at times, in terms of wanting people to like him but I thought it acted as a great counter to Jericho's general hatred of the fans. This is a fantastic dynamic they've set up and the show ending beat down leaves them with a lot of possibilities next week. I'm hoping Jericho gets to play the victim card and run down the fans for cheering someone who nearly killed him. On another note the WWE should bottle this crowd because I don't think I've heard a crowd that pro-Cena in years. There were random Cena chants throughout the night and very, very few boos for him it was almost as if everyone loved the WWE's top face. It was very odd.
