Mike Carrier of Anchorage, Alaska (6.5): Best Match: Miz/Morrison vs. Michaels/Mysterio; Best Segment: Jericho-Cena. Worst Match: Anything with Batista. Okay let me get this off my chest. What the heck is the point of Batista being in the ring if he's a mechanical bull, doing the same thing every match? Where’s the passion? Where’s the energy? Where is the strong desire to actually WIN the title? We need to see some actual believable fighting out of the guy. He’s just not convincing anymore. That goes for a lot of the other matches, too. I like the fact that there are people in a tournament of sorts for the Intercontinental Title. It’s about time they make this an important title and bring back the history of it. I am planning on picking up the History of the Intercontinental Title DVD, and was pleasantly surprised to see them introduce the very first champ Pat Patterson. Nice touch. Once again Miz and Morrison take the cake in terms of sheer wrestling ability and believability. They make it look good, and they display lots of fire. Much love to Shawn Michaels, but he needs to step it up out of mechanical bull mode as well, and show some more fire. C.M. Punk is looking good as usual, but needs a little more character development. Kofi Kingston’s dive out of the ring onto Kane looked scary to me, and I thought he was injured on that landing. Thank God nothing happened to him. While I’m at it, thank God for Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, John Cena, and William Regal. These guys are the true torch bearers for Raw right now, with their passion, energy, and believable characters. Pure wrestlers with great mic skills and charisma will win every time. All other wrestlers without it need to look real closely at them. I am looking forward to what Raw has to offer next week. Good show overall.

Matt Johnson of Norway, Mich. (7.0): Best: The push of the IC title. Worst: John Morrison & Miz, Randy Orton jobbing (tie). This was a solid show, in that it narrowed the focus of Raw. The main focus was on the World Title scene, with the IC title being the secondary focus. Shane McMahon may be the perfect on-air authority figure. He has a calm, logical approach and does not raise his voice. After a decade of heel authority figures, we are really ready for change. I hate Miz & Morrison losing, but I will withhold judgment until we see where the angle with JBL is going. The tournament for a shot at the IC Title does make the title seem more important. But it reminds me of when WCW had a best of 7 series for a shot at the TV title. It is inconsistent with the way the title has been treated. But if the company values the title from here on out, it could really be a major part of Raw. I don't agree with Orton doing the job. It is the right decision to have Jericho face Cena at the next non-major PPV, but Orton or Batista losing to get there is short-sighted. Great job announcing Cena vs. Kane for next week. It already seems more important. It was also great to see John Cena back surrounded by all his little Cenamaniacs. What's Chris Jericho gonna do, brother? (P.S. Stop saying "spoiling for a fight," please!)
