Matt Guerra of Bayonne, N.J. (6.5): Raw's show tonight trumped everything that happened during that lackluster show the WWE called a PPV on Sunday. Best match of the night was Rey Mysterio vs. Evan Bourne, with a close second going to C.M. Punk and Kingston taking the straps away from Priceless. Mysterio coming to the ring kissing children is just weird and needs to stop. If Randy Orton's plea to the McMahons gets Mike Adamle off TV, I'll write this reaction again and give the show a 10. Batista as champ is a major waste of time, unless they have plans for him to go heel in the near future. He brings nothing to the table as a babyface. Watch out everyone. Mike Knox is coming.
Art "Bucky" Blarr of Buffalo, N.Y. (8.0): Best Match: Bourne vs. Rey. Worst Match: Santino vs. Haas. Two nights in a row of WWE and two solid shows. I felt Raw really picked up where the PPV left off, opening with Jericho angrily voicing his opinion of having the odds stacked against him. The first match was great with Punk/Kingston vs. Priceless. I feel that the addition of Manu has really hurt Priceless and they don't need him. As a team, Priceless reminds me of an inexperienced Anderson Brothers, or even the short heel stint of Jack & Jerry Brisco in the Mid-Atlantic days in the late '70s. Once again, the Santino segment didn't disappoint and neither did the continuing character changes of Charlie Haas. The World Tile belt definitely belongs on Batista, as I feel nobody in the WWE has the look and style of being a World Champion like Batista. I enjoyed the ladies match in which all six divas seemed to be full of energy. Speaking of energy, the Bourne vs. Rey match was just that plus more as the two set a fast pace from beginning to end. The main event kept my eyes glued to the set as I waited for Michaels, knowing that despite being attacked before the match, he would be there at some point. This was the first Raw in weeks where I had no desire to fast forward.
Alex Roberts in the U.K. (7.5): Best Match: Rey Mysterio vs. Evan Bourne. Worst Match: Santino vs. Old Timers. With Raw last night and Cyber Sunday tonight, the WWE has produced two surprisingly entertaining shows back to back. The opening segment was excellent with everyone, Adamle included, playing their parts to perfection. On the subject of next week, I know Batista is supposed to be Mr. Confident, but would it have killed someone to at least give Jericho a fighting chance for next week and make the match seem worthwhile? Perhaps Lawler should have pointed out that Jericho won a big cage match a few weeks ago and that everyone counted him out during his ladder match against Michaels. The set-up for Miz/Morrison vs. the how-many-times-can-we-reunite-for-one-night-only-before-it-becomes-completely-redundant DX would have been much more effective if someone had taken offense to their "Are You Fifty?" comments. Hopefully though this won't turn into the usual DX squash and Miz/Morrison will actually get something out of this match. There is, I'm told, a first time for everything. ... I can't say I'm over-joyed about Punk/Kingston becoming the new tag champs. Having said that, Punk as a tag champ is infinitely better than Punk, the World Champion. The Bourne-Mysterio match was excellent partly because it's not the kind of match we usually see in the WWE. This was better than any number of X Division matches TNA have produced because not only was it between two men fans care about but the spots were given some degree of context and purpose. Bourne's WWE star continues to grow. The main event was what it was: an excuse to push Batista as unstoppable ahead of next week's main event. All in all, I thought this was the best edition of Raw in far too long that set up a potentially brilliant show next week.

PWTORCH FORMAT CONVENTIONS
For the sake of clarity to our readers (and to save us time editing these same things over and over), please follow these simple conventions when writing Torch Reax:
-Wrestlers teaming together should be connected with "&" symbol (e.g. Hunter & Michaels, Devon & Ray) or with a "/" (e.g. Animal/Hawk, Harris/Storm), but not dashes and not the word "and."
-To designate wrestlers who are fighting, feuding, or wrestling each other, put a dash (-) between them (e.g. Michaels-McMahon, Jarrett-Sting, Hogan-Andre) or use "vs."
-The word versus should always be abbreviated this way: "vs." with a period afterward (not "v." or "v/s" or "VS" or "VS." or any other way).
-Plus, it's just our policy, but we don't indulge wresting promotions' strange spelling fetishes where they spell Raw, Smackdown, Heat, Impact, etc. with the haphazard capitalization of various leTTeRz. It seems very "junior high," so no RAW (it's Raw), no iMPACT (it's Impact), etc.
-Please try to avoid overuse of dot-dot-dots. If you have a thought that's "trailing off," you can use for effect, but otherwise, just use periods, commas, and our personal favorite, semicolons if you dare. We have always had a policy of only one exclamation point and no ALL CAPS. Let your words convey the meaning of your point. There's many to choose from out there.
