Eric Gall of Bridgeport, Conn. (2.0): Best Match: Mickie vs. Beth. Worst Match: Triple H. Yeah, I know, there are other things on tonight's show to complain about other than Triple H. I agree with that sentiment; however, he IS the most obvious element of what's wrong with the show. I guess destroying tag teams wasn't enough for Trips; he needs to show up whole brands these days. Sacrificing an entire roster to make the champ (H), his PPV opponent (Orton), and the next big thing (Kennedy) look strong shows you where Vince is buttering his bread. I guess I should stop being as upset as I am seeing Triple H bury everyone, but I actually felt for a second that the ECW guys would get the better of him after the match. Like a fool, I fell for it. I hate the WWE right now. Stay tuned next week as Triple H beats the Smackdown roster with one arm tied behind his back!
Mat La Vore of West Palm Beach, Fla. (1.0): Best: Regal's character. Worst: WWE purposely ruining their own show. I like Regal's new character. That said, the first hour of Raw isn't even over and I'm already done with the show. I turned off the TV when Mike Adamle took commentary for the pointless Paul Burchill match and the crowd started chanting, "boring, boring..." Why should I, as a viewer, allow myself be punished and bored just for a WWE storyline? Expecting viewers to allow themselves to be punished through boredom for a worked angle is nothing but ridiculous and arrogant on WWE's part. At a time when all WWE has is characters fans are tiring of, and nothing new or exciting on the horizon, it's unbelievable this is what they're coming up with to keep people from changing the channel. I've already stopped watching TNA, ECW, and Smackdown a long time ago. If Raw continues like this, my days as a wrestling fan just might be ending soon. They wanted the show to be boring tonight? Mission accomplished. I tuned out.
Shane McKinley of Danville, Calif. (1.5): Best Match: Roddy Piper Bit Worst Match: Paul Burchill. It's a dog with fleas. A boring show, only really saved by the Trish Stratus, Ron Simmons, and Roddy Piper bits. Opening segment was painful, with some bad logic for Triple H. I haven't watched a WWE women's match in quite awhile. They throw all the women together because nobody stands out. Their characters and their wrestling is just blah. There's just nothing there. Why couldn't the lights go out during the Paul Burchill match? It was stupid and it accomplished nothing. It doesn't matter if the jobber is from the home state or country (sometimes WWE goes to that well way too often), or if Burchill has a thousand squashes, I don't understand why this got so much air time. Fans were right in chanting "This is boring" and "Make the cover." You offer things like this, you deserve to get booed. Kudos for changing up the Mike Adalme situation. Sort of unnevering on how much sometimes WWE has a pulse on their fans. I'm used to TNA living in a vaccuum, seemingly immune. A sign of relief, because "Bad Mic" Mike Adalme can't possibly be the voice of ECW anymore. He might be the next verison of ECW manager Fonzie. Paul E. Dangerously comes back. I thought HBK tweaked his right knee at Backlash, now it's his left? A lot of these feuds have nothing to them. Around this time I fell asleep. There might be a storyline where William "Lights Out" Regal goes mad and offers nothing but Burchill and Carlito matches while cutting off the lights during, you know, parts most fans are interested in. "I'll show them! I'll give them the worst shows they've ever seen!" Best part of the night was the Roddy Piper bit. Hey, I'm actually entertained! Nice push for the Raw tag team championship. Need a video package or something from Cena to make me believe in the feud. Main event: didn't I see this before? At least ECW wrestlers didn't get punked out (maybe just because it's their 100th show tommorrow), and maybe the only time Matt Striker will ever battle Triple H. It was blah wrestling, then it was over. Understand that WWE was pushing ECW, Kennedy, and Triple H vs. Orton, but it was like watching golf. PWTorch.com should have a place where fans can donate money to buy Kennedy some quality elbow pads. It seems like every time I watch him his elbow pads are coming off. It's not Regal, it's the fact that recently Raw is getting lame and boring. I think a writer got inspired by the WrestleMania 24 lights going out and somehow turned it into a storyline.
