TNA wrestler Sonjay Dutt says each TNA wrestler has a desire to be in WWE. Dutt's TNA contract expires at the end of the month after TNA cancelled a verbal contract extension and he would be open to joining WWE.

Dutt said he's read the rumors of WWE having interest in him, but he has not talked to WWE. He laughed that he hopes it's true, though.

"Any professional wrestler - ask everybody in TNA no matter where you are - they're going to want to be in WWE," Dutt told World Band Media radio. "That's the top; that's the best. Every professional wrestler deep down in their heart wants to be in WWE."

Dutt said the top stars, like Sting, probably don't have a desire to be in WWE because TNA offers a better schedule.

"WWE's schedule is so insane and hectic, so for a guy like Sting who has put his time into the business, he doesn't need to be on the road," Dutt said. "TNA is a good option. It has a light schedule to make the kind of money they want to make."

Dutt is going to Japan this weekend for a Zero-One tour, then he'll be back on the independent circuit. He hopes WWE will call him, though, as he would like to work with Great Khali.

Dutt toured India while in TNA and he believes he could be a valuable asset for the WWE's upcoming tour of India and progressive expansion in Southeast Asia.

Caldwell's Analysis: Dutt might come across as a bitter wrestler making disparaging remarks about his soon-to-be-former employer, but Dutt was levelheaded and very much in control of his emotions throughout the interview that I listened to. He also confirmed the inferiority complex in TNA, which is based on an unspoken desire that the vast majority of personnel in the company have to be part of WWE. Mick Foley wouldn't hype WWE without ceasing on TNA TV unless he still wanted to be part of that Legends video game or get his name in lights at the Hall of Fame. TNA has a good schedule, a national TV clearance, and management that allows wrestlers to talk WWE, TNA, WCW, or ECW on their own show. Good gig if you can get it.
