By Wade Keller, Torch editor

I'll be updating this PPV as it plays out throughout the night. My detailed match-by-match report with star ratings and analysis will be e-mailed to VIP EXPRESS members shortly after the event along with Torch Roundtable reviews from the Torch staff...

They opened with a big fireworks show and a new set that features both the Raw and Smackdown logos with three big screens above. They also have fire shooting up from the Raw and Smackdown logo framework.

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler introduced the PPV and called the first match.

(1) Chris Jericho & Christian (champs) vs. Bubba Ray & D-Von vs. Booker T & Goldust vs. Lance Storm & William Regal for the WWE Tag Team Titles.

Dudleys were first eliminated. Storm & Regal were second eliminated. Then just short of 17 minutes Booker gave Jericho the Bookend to win the match and the tag titles. Excellent final five minutes of an overall good match. The near falls were especially dramatic. The postmatch celebration by Booker and Goldust seemed heartfelt.

Brock Lesnar told Josh Matthews backstage that he is going to have an impact on the main event title match.

(2) Edge beat A-Train via DQ in 7:00 when Train used a chair on Edge out of frustration with not getting a pin. The opening five minutes was pretty basic and uneventful, but the final two minutes were really good with near falls. Both men kicked out of the other's finisher leading to the DQ.

Big Show complained to Paul Heyman about Brock's promise to have an impact. Heyman said he'd take care of it, but seemed a bit worried.

(3) Chris Benoit beat Eddie Guerrero via tapout with the Crippler Crossface at 16:46. Really good match. Chavo's interference with a tag title belt wasn't enough to put Benoit down.

Steph refused Heyman's request to ban Brock from ringside. Heyman said if Brock is at ringside, Show will break his neck.

Dawn Marie and Al Wilson walked to the ring. Dawn said Torrie was a sexual predator in the hotel room with her and would prove it by showing the footage unedited. After a few minutes of Dawn slowly seducing Torrie and giving her a glass of champaign, which Torrie guzzled out of nervousness, they eventually kissed. Dawn kissed Torrie, and Torrie kissed back. Al Wilson then demanded that the footage stop. Dawn protested at first, but then gave in and said she didn't want to upset him. She invited him to go back to the hotel with her so they could make their own home movie. Lawler said he didn't like Al before, and now he really hates him for preventing the rest of the footage from airing.

(4) Batista beat Kane after his sitdown powerbomb. Flair interfered and cost Kane the match by distracting from Kane's pin attempt on Batista. Bad match.

John Cena came out with B-Squared and did some Eminem style rapping.

(5) Victoria beat Jackie and Trish to retain the Women's Title. Below par from their recent matches. Victoria won the forgettable match with a shot with the belt.

(6) Kurt Angle pinned Big Show to capture the WWE Smackdown Title. A-Train interfered first, then Brock Lesnar gave Show an F-5 leading to Show's loss. Actually a good match.

(7) Shawn Michaels (champ) vs. Triple H.

Hunter won the first fall with a Pedigree in just under 20 minutes. Highlight was Michaels hitting Hunter in the head with a burning barbed wire wrapped two-by-four. Otherwise, pretty grueling but not necessarily high-energy.

Michaels won the second fall at 30:00 (overall) after a splash off the top of the cage onto Hunter on a table.

Hunter won the third fall ladder match clean at 38:30. Michaels had the belt in his hand, but before he could unsnap it to win, Hunter knocked the ladder over. Michaels bumped over the top rope and bumped through a doubhle stack of four tables at ringside.
