[Q1] Bobby Roode opened the show re-issuing a challenge to Bobby Lashley for the TNA World Title. Instead, MVP and Kenny King answered Roode, setting up a handicap match later in the show. ... Knockouts were introduced for a #1 contender match. [CB]
[Q2] (1) Madison Rayne pinned Taryn Terrell in a three-way #1 contender match to the Knockouts Title also involving Angelina Love (w/Velvet Sky). Rayne hooked the tights on Taryn, then KO champion Havok came out and took out Taryn Terrell while Madison ran away. [CB] Backstage, MVP and Kenny King told Lashley to chill out about the TNA Title situation. ... TNA recapped the Great Muta-Sanada/James Storm situation.
[Q3] (2) James Storm & Sanada beat Low Ki & Tigre Uno when Storm superkicked Tigre for the pin. Storm posed with Sanada and Manik as Mike Tenay hyped the winners in a tag match at Bound for Glory on Sunday. ... Gunner and Sam Shaw talked about their issues backstage. [CB]
[Q4] (3) Bram beat Sam Shaw in a No DQ match; it was a weapons match for the sake of a weapons match on the same show they're having a weapons match for the Tag Titles. After the match, Brittany crawled into the ring to console Shaw. [Long CB] Backstage, Team 3D hyped the Full Metal Mayhem Tag Title match. The Wolves interrupted their promo time.
[Q5] (4) Bobby Roode beat Kenny King & MVP via DQ in a handicap match. Roode had King pinned with the Roode Bomb, but Bobby Lashley charged the ring and attacked Roode for the DQ ending. Lashley then speared Roode to establish his dominance. ... Backstage, Ethan Carter III gave Rockstar Spud one more chance to save his job. [CB] In the ring, ECIII called Spud down to the ring.
[Q6] The promo exchange continued with Spud noting all of ECIII's quirks and preferences to show how much he knows about Carter. But, Carter called Spud a "loser" and "failure," so Spud fought back with slaps to the face. ECIII responded by telling Spud that he's fired. ... A video Package on the Tag Title series followed. [CB] Backstage, Kurt Angle walked into Lashley, MVP, and King's locker room. Angle said Lashley will have to defend the TNA Title at some point and Bobby Roode will have every chance to get in the running. ... Ring introductions took place for the Tag Title series finale.
[Q7] [CB] (5) TNA tag champions The Wolves (Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards) beat Team 3D (Bully Ray & Devon) and the Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) at 23:50 to win the Tag Title Series and retain the TNA Tag Titles. Last week, the tone of the program suddenly shifted to the teams disliking each other, but there were a lot of co-operative spots when the match started. Ray powerbombed Davey onto a guardrail leading to a mid-match commercial. [CB...]
[Q8] [...CB] The second-half of the match started with a shot of Jeff Hardy crashing and burning, just like the reckless ladder match in their previous encounter. Meanwhile, Mike Tenay and Taz evaluated the match rather than trying to generate an emotional response for or against the wrestlers in the match. Jeff then crashed and burned through a table in another reckless spot in this series. Matt followed with a nasty-looking leg drop through a table on Davey. Jeff and Bully were then taken out when Jeff took a big fall from a ladder through Bully and a table on the floor. Back in the ring, Eddie powerbombed Matt through a table, then Davey pulled down both Tag Title belts to win the match.
The way the main event was laid out pretty much guaranteed a better Q8 TV rating than Q7, which contained one-and-a-half commercials; Q8 only contained half of a commercial at the start of the quarter-hour.
Impact closed with a final message about Bound for Glory on Sunday, but also a preview for next week's Impact determining another #1 contender to the TNA Title.
