RADICAN’S ROH DVD REVIEW SERIES
“ROH UNAUTHORIZED: A NIGHT OF HOOPLA”
JULY 11, 2013
MERRIONETTE PARK, ILL
nightofhoopladvdfinal.jpg

The show started with the standard ROH TV introduction until three little Truth Martini bobble head graphics interrupted it and the HOT music played to transition into a Truth Martini themed introduction, which was well done and funny.

Martini introduced the show inside the ring.

Scarlett then sang the HOT National Anthem. She sang a song a song about her sweet breasts. She then stripped off her dress as a shot of the American Flag waving and other patriotic landmarks were shown. The shot of a Walmart after Mt. Rushmore was shown just about slayed me.

A ref came down to the ring wearing pink boxers.

(1) ROH TV Champion Matt Taven (w/Scarlett & Seleziya) vs. Adam Cole vs. Eddie Edwards in a Non-title match. The crowd wanted the ref to be spanked, so Taven put him over his knee and Scarlett spanked him, which got a that was awesome chant. Taven tried to bail, so Edwards and Cole nailed him with a double dropkick and assaulted him on the outside. Edwards nailed Taven with a huge chop and then took a picture of Cole posing with Taven in pain. They ended up assaulting Taven some more on the outside, but it was hard to see because of the terrible lighting in the venue. Edwards and Cole began to not get along. Edwards tripped Cole into the 60 position Taven in the corner and nailed them both with a running dropkick. The crowd chanted no more babies. Taven fired back on Edwards and asked a fan to whip him into Edwards from the outside, but the fan whipped him right into the apron. Cole caught Edwards with a kick as he came through the ropes and went to work on Taven inside the ring. Seleziya interfered and took down Cole with a clothesline. Edwards then shoved Taven into the ref and caused him to DDT the ref in one of those spots that defies logic. Edwards had the single leg crab on Taven, but Scarlett got up on the apron and started grinding around. The crowd chanted for Edwards and Cole to do the Eiffel Tower on Scarlett. Edwards chopped Scarlett on the rear end. Edwards and Cole traded superkicks before Taven ran in and hit the headlock driver on Edwards for the win.

After the match, Edwards and Cole shook hands and then did the Eiffel Tower, which got a pop from the crowd. The crowd wanted them to do it again. Cole waved them off and the crowd booed. The fans chanted for Cole and he charged back into the ring. The crowd popped big for Cole and Edwards doing another Eiffel Tower.

Winner: Matt Taven – This was mostly comedy and very different from what you see on most ROH shows. The beating on Taven on the outside was funny and the action was solid throughout. The butt chop from Edwards onto Scarlett was the highlight here.

Martini came out and the fans chanted for him. Martini introduced Jimmy Jacobs, who was out to sing his new single “Gypsy Soul.” Jacobs began by singing “The Ballad of Lacey.” He stood up high near the entrance ramp. Several people in the crowd waved their cell phones while Jacobs sang. The crowd applauded as Jacobs got into the ring and sang his new song “Gypsy Soul.” They did some nice concert style picture edits as Jacobs sang. The crowd gave Jacobs a big applause when he finished. They then started chanting Uncle Jessie, who got into the ring and sang a little bit of the Uncle Jessie song from full house, which got a “That was awesome” chant. It truly was fantastic.

Martini came out and plugged Jacobs’s song on iTunes. He then brought out Maria Kanellis as the special referee for the upcoming match. Machismo King Jay Lethal came out next with Sister Sensational Sherri. Lethal came down to the ring on an old school WrestleMania style cart pushed by one of the ref’s to Macho Man’s music. Lethal was dressed like Macho Man and he had a woman with him dressed like Sherri.

Lethal got on the mic and cut a promo on Warrior. He said the biggest mistake Warrior made was challenging the Machismo King. The fans chanted for Machismo. Sherri then got on the mic and screwed up her lines causing the crowd to boo. Lethal said Warrior may have taken the title, but he always knew what he was. He said he was going to take Warrior’s career at “Night of Hoopla.”

Delirious then came out to play the part of Warrior. Delirious then came down to the ring and shook the ropes like the Ultimate Warrior.

(2) Jay Lethal (w/Sister Sensational Sherri) vs. Delirious – Maria Kanellis special guest referee. Delirious got distracted by Sherri on the apron and Lethal briefly took advantage before Delirious took him down with a clothesline. Sherri tried to run into the ring, but Delirious tossed Lethal right into her and she fell to the floor. Delirious went on the attack a short time later and screamed Warrior before nailing Lethal with a series of kicks in the corner. Delirious missed a charge into the corner and spilled to the outside. Sherri then worked him over on the outside. Delirious ended up with a piece of pizza in his mouth. Sherri continued to pound on him on the outside, but Delirious shoved her to the ground. Lethal then shoved Delirious into the ringpost. Sherri got up on the ring a short time later and Lethal tried to jump Delirious from behind only to eat a clothesline. Delirious missed a running charge and Lethal grabbed a headlock. Both men ended up hitting a double clothesline a short time later and were down on the mat.

Maria began counting for both men. Sherri got on the apron. Delirious had a small package, but only got a 2 count because Maria was distracted. Lethal ended up shoving Delirious into Maria and she was down on the mat. Sherri went up top and tried to hit Delirious with her shoe, but she ended up hitting Lethal. Delirious chased after Sherri, but Lethal rolled him up for a 2 count. Lethal went on the attack and took down Delirious with a clothesline from behind. Lethal hit an elbow off the top and went for another. The fans chanted three more times in reference to the Macho Man vs. Warrior WrestleMania VII match. Lethal hit four elbow drops, but Delirious kicked out at 2. Delirious began shaking the ropes and no-selling Lethal’s punches after kicking out. Delirious mounted a comeback and took down Lethal with a series of clotheslines. Lethal signaled for the press slam and hit it. Delirious then hit the big running Warrior splash off the ropes, but Lethal kicked out. The fans chanted this is familiar and this is awesome after Lethal kicked out. Delirious began doing Warrior mannerisms and talked to himself. Lethal ended up throwing Delirious to the outside.

Lethal set up Delirious on a chair and came off the top, but Delirious managed to fight off Sherri and he nailed Lethal with a punch to the gut. Delirious did the Warrior running start and hit a big shoulder tackle off the ropes. Lethal spilled to the outside and the crowd chanted two more times. Delirious tossed Lethal back into the ring and hit another running shoulder tackle. The fans chanted one more time after Lethal spilled to the outside. Delirious tossed Lethal back into the ring and hit another diving shoulder tackle that sent Lethal to the outside. Delirious dragged Lethal back into the ring and stood over him. Delirious put one foot Lethal to pin him, but Lethal rolled him up for the pin.

Lethal got on the mic after as Delirious walked around the ring doing Warrior mannerisms. Lethal got on the mic and called Maria Liz. He asked Liz to marry him. The fans chanted a mix of yes and no. Maria said no because his name isn’t Michael Bennett. Sherri got in the ring and yelled at Lethal. She kicked him low and put the boots to him. Maria then made the save. The fans chanted yes. Lethal got on the mic and said he knew Liz didn’t care. Lethal said he was going to do it proper this time. He got on his knee and asked Elizabeth to marry him. Maria said oh yeah, but Bennett came out and carried her to the back.

Winner: Jay Lethal – This was great. The crowd was a little slow to get into it and Sherri wasn’t very good at times, but watching these two recreate Macho Man vs. Ultimate Warrior from WrestleMania VII was a lot of fun. I loved Lethal asking Maria (Liz) to marry him after the match only for Bennett to eventually carry her away.

Martini came out and said it was time for the Pants Off Dance Off. He called the Hoopla Hotties down to the ring. Scarlett, Seleziya, and another woman came down to the ring. Martini said there was a special judge and he called out Judge Jeff Jones. Jones didn’t get much of a reaction coming down to the ring. Jones thanked Martini for bringing him out tonight. He said this was his favorite wrestling city. He said it was in Chicago where he led Mike Awesome to the ECW World Championship. Jones said it was his greatest accomplishment until tonight when he judged this contest. Jones said there was no rules and the participants were going to dance and take their pants off. Jones said he would pick the winner.

The music played and the women began dancing on Jones. The women took off their pants and began dancing with each other. Scarlett got up on the entrance structure. A couple of the women danced on some of the fans in the crowd. Jones said the competition was sick. Jones asked the fans what they thought of each woman. Each woman got a mixed reaction. Jones was about to announce the winner when Davey Richards interrupted. Richards looked upset coming down to the ring. Richards said the ROH he got into was about wrestling and not dancing. He said ROH was something special for the wrestling fans of the world. Richards mentioned Samoa Joe and Bryan Danielson. He also referenced C.M. Punk. Richards said those men carried the product, but there was only one thing left to say. Richards called for some music and began humping the ropes. Richards then jumped the turnbuckle and the Hoopla Hotties held their chests and smiled. Scarlett went to take of Richards’s pants, but he spanked her. Richards and Seleziya then grinded on each other before Richards spanked her. The third woman crawled at Richards, but he pie-faced her. Richards then dragged her back and made out with her before dropping her to the mat. The fans popped huge for Richards. Jones declared Richards the winner of the contest. Richards celebrated by humping the turnbuckles.

Silas Young came down to the ring and asked what in the f--- s--- is this? The women bailed to the back. Young said Richards had talked about the founding fathers of the company. Young said until 2 minutes ago, he would have put him on the same level. He asked Richards if that is how a man acts. The fans chanted yes. Young told Richards he was looking at the last real man in wrestling. Richards said he had already slapped some a--. He then asked the crowd if he should kick some a--.

A ref came down wearing boxers and the match was on. Richards took his pants down. Young objected and the crowd chanted keep them off, but Richards pulled his pants back up.

(3) Davey Richards vs. Silas Young. They followed the Code of Honor. Richards ended up countering and arm bar with a kick to Young’s arm. Young bailed to the outside to regroup. Young taunted Richards after hitting a shoulder tackle. Richards fired back with a big dropkick a short time later. Young once again bailed to the outside. Richards sent Young outside again a short time later and the fans chanted yes. Martini came down and said the match needed to stay inside the ring because Young was spending too much time on the outside. Young said he was turning this into a LumberJill match and a bunch of men dressed in drag made their way down to the ring.

(3a) Davey Richards vs. Silas Young in a LumberJill match. The fans chanted this is awkward. Richards looked around the ring and said Jesus Christ. Richards got on his knees and looked up as the fans chanted Jesus Christ. Richards offered to watch Silas’s butthole if he would watch his. They shook hands, but Young kicked him in the gut. Richards ended up sending Young to the outside where he was molested by the LumberJills. The fans chanted yes as Richards peppered Young with kicks in the corner. Young fired back a short time later and caught Richards with a backbreaker/clothesline combination for a 2 count. Young missed his finish and Richards rolled through him before applying a single-leg crab. Young shoved him off and Richards went right into the ref. Young hit a low blow and got a visual pin on Richards with a rollup. One of the drag queens on the outside slapped Young on the butt. Young grabbed him, but ended up taking a kiss. Richards laughed at Young as the fans chanted Brokeback Mountain. Young charged at Richards, but ate the alarm clock. Richards hit a double stomp, but Young kicked out. Richards immediately applied the single leg crab and Young tapped.

Richards got on the mic and said he can’t only dance and wrestle, but he can also sing. The fans began clapping and Richards sang a song for the fans. The fans applauded as Richards sang and said goodnight to the fans.

Winner: Davey Richards – Words can’t describe this match, which ended up being turned into a LumberJill match with drag queens on the outside. The fans were a little hesitant to get into the action at first, but once the drag queens came out, they were into the match. Young getting kissed by one of the drag queens was the highlight of this funny segment.

Martini came out to the ring with Scarlett and Seleziya, who said they were both feeling awesome. Martini asked if the Hoopla Hotties were sexy. The fans cheered. He asked if the fans would like to get closer to the Hoopla Hotties. He asked the fans to stand if they wanted to get closer to the girls. Scarlett ran around the crowd to make some noise. Martini told Scarlett to pick a fan. The fan got up on stage. A graphic came up saying his name was Matt and he was about to get a lap dance. They blind folded the fan. A couple of big women came out and danced on him. The fan took his blind fold off and fell down. He ended up tipping one of the women that danced on him.

Martini then introduced the next match.

(4) ROH World Tag Team Title match ??? ReDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) vs. Roderick Strong & Cheeseburger. This was dubbed as maybe being a match for the ROH World Tag Team Titles. Strong and Fish kicked things off as the crowd was chanting for Cheeseburger. Strong got a nice pinning combination for a 2 count before nailing Fish with a big dropkick. O’Reilly tagged in, so Strong tagged in Cheeseburger to a big pop. Cheeseburger had tights and a vest with Cheeseburger graphics on them. O’Reilly tossed Cheeseburger to the mat and the fans booed. Cheeseburger rolled out of an arm bar and grabbed an arm bar of his own and the fans applauded. O’Reilly challenged Cheeseburger to a test of strength. O’Reilly powered him down, but Cheeseburger countered and drove O’Reilly’s hands down to the mat before stomping on his fingers. Cheeseburger took O’Reilly down with a spinning heads scissors. O’Reilly tagged out and Fish drove Cheeseburger into the corner. Cheeseburger tried to tag out a short time later, but O’Reilly dragged Strong off the apron. Strong chased O’Reilly, but Fish caught him with a running kick on the outside. O’Reilly and Fish ended up in the ring alone with Cheeseburger. They took turns kicking him down to the match.

Strong pulled the ropes down on Fish and Cheeseburger rolled up O’Reilly for a 2 count. Cheeseburger pulled the ropes on O’Reilly a short time later and he went flying to the outside. Cheeseburger went for a springboard dive, but O’Reilly and Fish caught him. Strong then hit a dropkick through the ropes that took out O’Reilly and Fish. Strong tagged in and began working over O’Reilly. He nailed him with a huge chop in the corner before hitting a back breaker for a 2 count. Cheeseburger tagged in and went for a German on O’Reilly, but O’Reilly blocked it. Fish made a blind tag and hit a big kick on Cheeseburger, but he kicked out. Fish taunted the fans as they tried to rally behind Cheeseburger. Cheeseburger got a sunset flip on O’Reilly later, but Fish managed to make the blind tag and he continued to work over Cheeseburger. O’Reilly pointed at Strong and hit a backbreaker on Cheeseburger. Strong ran into the ring and nailed O’Reilly with a big chop.

Fish and O’Reilly tossed Strong out of the ring before nailing Cheeseburger with a series of double team moves. Strong ran in and broke up the pin. Fish ended up catching Strong with a kick to the head. Fish went up top, but Cheeseburger rolled away. He tried to tag out, but Strong wasn’t there. Fish went up top again, but Cheeseburger rolled away after O’Reilly slammed him. O’Reilly slammed Cheeseburger again and went up top. Fish and O’Reilly came off the top, but Cheeseburger got out of the way. The fans chanted for Cheeseburger, who made the hot tag to Strong. Strong ran wild on O’Reilly and Fish. The fans fired up as Strong chopped the crap out of O’Reilly. Strong grabbed Cheeseburger and suplexed him onto Fish for a nearfall. Fish charged at him, but he ended up slamming him head-first into O’Reilly’s crotch. He then slammed Cheeseburger into the corner on Fish and O’Reilly. Strong applied the Stronghold on Fish. O’Reilly tried to break it up, but Cheeseburger grabbed him in an octopus submission. O'Reilly eventually swung Cheeseburger into Strong to break up the submission on Fish. The fans went nuts chanting for Cheeseburger.

O’Reilly and Strong began trading strikes in the middle of the ring. Cheeseburger hit Fish with a chop and Fish obliterated him with a kick to the head. Fish and O’Reilly hit total elimination on Strong, but he kicked out. Cheeseburger made a blind tag and kicked Fish into a gutbuster for Strong. He then hit code red on Fish, but O’Reilly broke it up at the last second. O’Reilly won a big exchange of strikes with Strong. Cheeseburger tried to come off the top, but O’Reilly and Fish caught him and hit a double knee strike. They followed up with chasing the dragon for the win.

Winners: Fish & O’Reilly

Star rating: (***1/2) – This match was very good and wasn’t a comedy match like the other matches on the card. Cheeseburger did a good job of playing the underdog in this match. His comebacks were a blast to watch and there were some very good exchanges down the stretch.

Martini came out and said Hoopla Uncut was about to begin. Martini said he had a special guest tonight. He said some people love him and some people hate him. Martini then brought out Satan. The fans chanted “666.” Satan said it was great to be in Chicago with all of his people. He said he owns soul all over Chicago and even in ROH. Martini asked him if he owned souls in ROH and Satan said how do you think Q.T. Marshall got a job in ROH. The fans started a “Shut the f--- up” chant. Satan told Martini the show was a little too much even for him. The fans chanted “You’re a f------“ at Satan. Martini told Satan to take his pants off. The fans chanted no. Satan said he wouldn’t give the fans the pleasure of taking his pants off. He told Martini and the Hoopla Hotties they’re going to hell. He also said the fans were going to hell. Martini asked Satan if he had put down ROH and all of the fans. Scarlett hit a low blow and Seleziya then hit a DVD on Satan. They then took hit pants off and Martini said he thought Satan would have been a little bigger. Satan yelled at Martini and tripped leaving the ring.

Radican note: This was horrible between the fans bigoted chants at Martini and the whole premise in general just wasn’t funny at all. Everyone shook hands before the match. ACH seemed hesitant to shake hands with MsChif.

(5) ACH & Tadarius Thomas & Athena vs. Michael Elgin & B.J. Whitmer & MsChif. Elgin and Athena kicked things off. MsChif got into the ring and made Elgin stop wrestling here. The fans chanted “Sleep on the couch” at Elgin. MsChif got the tag from Elgin and went at it with Thomas. Eglin shoved Thomas off MsChif. MsChif got mad and sent him out of the ring, which got another chant for Elgin sleeping on the couch. Elgin and MsChif are married in real life. Elgin got the tag and went at with Thomas. Thomas took Elgin down with a hurricanrana. He then tied up Elgin with a submission in the ropes. Thomas went for a sunset flip, but Elgin wouldn’t go down. Elgin went for a backfist and Thomas got out of the way and did a cartwheel. Elgin then did a cartwheel of his own and the crowd popped. Thomas then did some break dancing. Elgin did the worm and the fans chanted you got served at Thomas. The fans then went nuts chanting for Elgin as Thomas regrouped in his own corner. ACH tagged in and did the Carlton. He then tagged Athena into the match. Elgin walked over and shook hands with all of his opponents before slamming Athena and doing the running man followed by a kip up.

The crowd wanted MsChif to dance after she tagged in. MsChif screamed at Athena instead. Athena said she wanted baldie, so he tagged in. Athena slapped Whitmer in the face a couple of times and they began doing some chain. They went to a nice exchange off the ropes that ended a stalemate. Whitmer tagged MsChif back into the match. MsChif called out ACH, so he tagged in. ACH said he couldn’t hit MsChif. ACH said he couldn’t be the O.J. Simpson of professional wrestling. ACH ran at MsChif and covered her mouth. The fans chanted silence her. They went back and forth until MsChif floored ACH with a scream. The ref checked on ACH, but his partners dragged him back to their corner. Athena tagged in and went at it with MsChif. The action broke down and Athena ended up alone in the ring. Everyone hit splashes on her in the corner until MsChif stopped Elgin from hitting a splash. The fans chanted that MsChif wears the pants.

MsChif worked over Athena before tagging in Whitmer. Elgin tagged in and went for a German on Athena, but MsChif yelled at him. The fans chanted for Elgin to get a lawyer. Athena eventually took down Elgin before tagging in Thomas. Whitmer got the tag as well, but ate a series of kicks from Thomas. Thomas pulled the ropes down on Elgin, who had entered the ring, but Whitmer cut him off and nailed him with some big chops. ACH nailed Whitmer with a kick from the apron. Athena then nailed him with a flying kick and Thomas followed up with a suplex for a 2 count. Whitmer took a beating for a long period of time. The fans heckled Thomas’s kick on Whitmer and chanted that was weak. ACH tagged in and continued to work Whitmer over. Whitmer fired back on ACH after he slapped him in the face and tagged in MsChif, who went to work on Athena. The action broke down and Thomas and ACH went after MsChif. Elgin grabbed MsChif as she bounced off the ropes and went to town on ACH and Thomas. Elgin lifted ACH and Thomas and tossed them over his head after holding them for the count of 15 from the fans. The fans fired up after that spot. Elgin tagged in Whitmer. Elgin yelled at Athena for getting him trouble. Athena slipped out of a double suplex attempt and tagged in Thomas, who ran wild.

Whitmer caught Thomas with a power slam. Thomas countered an exploder attempt with a rollup for a 2 count. Thomas nailed Whitmer with a knee strike to the head for a 2 count. ACH tagged in and caught Whitmer with a slingshot ace crusher for a 2 count. Athena went for a splash on Whitmer, but missed. Whitmer blocked a tornado DDT and suplexed Athena into the turnbuckles. Whitmer went for a powerbomb on Athena, but she countered it into a reverse hurricanrana. MsChif got the tag and went to work on Athena. The fans tried to rally behind Athena, who ended up tripping MsChif into the turnbuckles. Athena went up top, but Elgin shoved MsChif out of the way. Athena got crotched and Elgin went after her up top, but Thomas hit a white Russian leg sweep off the second turnbuckle. Whitmer then went after Athena. Whitmer fought off ACH, but Athena caught him with a twisting stunner off the top. Both went for a cross-body at the same time and were down on the mat. MsChif tagged in Elgin and Athena tagged in ACH. Elgin wiped out Thomas with a clothesline, but ACH ran in and caught him with a twisting neck breaker. ACH nailed MsChif with a series of big kicks, but Elgin saved her and nailed him with a spinning backfist. MsChif made out with Elgin after he saved her. Thomas turned Elgin around and he blew mist in Thomas’s face. Elgin then hit a buckle bomb and the Elgin bomb for the win.

Martini came out and thanked the fans for joining them for the Night of Hoopla. Seleziya and Scarlett came out and danced with Martini to end the show.

Winners: Michael Elgin & B.J. Whitmer & MsChif

Star rating: (***1/4) – The match dragged in parts and would have been helped if the show had commentary. The parts of the match where MsChif wouldn’t allow Elgin to attack Athena were hilarious, especially given the crowd chants at Elgin. I thought the finish was great with MsChif kissing Elgin and giving him her mist to blow into Thomas’s face leading into the finish.

Overall thoughts: (8.0) – It really depends on your taste as to whether or not you’re going to want to purchase this release. I had major reservations before the show took place, as Martini’s act tends to wear thin quickly on television, but this show was a blast to watch with the exception of the Hoopla Uncut segment with Satan.

The introduction of the show was hilarious with Scarlett singing the Hoopla National Anthem as shots of the Washington Monument, Mt. Rushmore, and Walmart were shown while she sang about her spectacular breasts.

A lot of the ROH wrestlers were allowed to show that they have personality and you wouldn’t know that watching ROH TV and DVDs. Davey Richards was the highlight of the night interrupting the pants off dance off segment and winning the whole thing. I loved seeing Richards let his hair down and it shows me that if he’s willing to do stuff like this in ROH, he might be able to get through whatever WWE throws at him if he signs there in the future.

Jimmy Jacobs’s musical performance was a lot of fun, as he sang The Ballad of Lacey and his new song Gypsy Soul. They did some nice production edits as Jacobs sang and Jacobs appeared to really get emotionally invested into singing his new song Gypsy Soul.

Jay Lethal and Delirious recreating the March Man vs. Ultimate Warrior match from WrestleMania VII was one of the best things I’ve seen all year in wrestling, especially once the crowd caught on and began calling the big spots down the stretch. Sister Sherri was a bit clumsy in her role on the mic before the match and during certain segments in the match when she interfered. Delirious was fantastic here doing Warriors mannerisms throughout the match. As we all know, Jay Lethal does a heck of a Macho Man impersonation on the mic and in the ring. This one is worth going out of your way to check out.

The only thing that really was poor and should have been cut from the show was the Hoopla Uncut segment with Satan. This was just plain dumb and it was made even worse when the fans began a homophobic chant at Satan. ROH should eject fans anytime they use the “f-----“chant at one of their shows. It’s unacceptable behavior.

If you’re looking for good in-ring action, the last two matches on the card were both good. It was a good idea to give Cheeseburger some in-ring time with experienced wrestlers like Strong, Fish, and O’Reilly. They had a really good match and Cheeseburger got in some nice hope spots along the way. The crowd really ate up Cheeseburger’s act and the match should help him as he continues his training to be a wrestler. His gear is hilarious and hopefully if he puts on some bulk and gains some experience, his Cheeseburger days will be forgotten.

The main event Six Man Tag was good as well and it was fun to see Elgin dancing in the ring during the early stages of the match. It was a site to see Elgin hit a cartwheel and then do the worm to serve Tadarius Thomas. The bickering between MsChif and Elgin throughout the match was also well-done.

Overall, I really liked the production elements that made this feel like something that was set apart from a traditional ROH show. The introductory video package was a lot of fun as it started as a normal ROH introductory video package before being interrupted by several Martini bobble heads. The lighting wasn’t great in this venue, but it wasn’t a huge deterrent on the show. I genuinely had fun watching a lot of this show. Although the show didn’t have commentary, it didn’t hamper things too much. If you’re looking to watch the ROH stars have fun in front of an enthusiastic crowd, this is well-worth checking out.
