Ultimate Warrior replaced Ric Flair in the opening WWE Legacy Video. I guess if you stay around long enough you move up, no matter what you once did.

It's WrestleMania Rewind night, so we start with glass breaking. Steve Austin is wearing a plain black t-shirt. He looks like a regular person in good shape. No beers, no middle fingers.

That "What" crap starts. Walking down the long ramp made Austin thirsty so he calls for some beers. He knows from first-hand experience you put everything on the line at WrestleMania. Bret Hart is one of the best cats I've been in the ring with.

"Vince McMahon was nasty in the ring. We're here to sign that contract between the two and I'm here to oversee that." Some bleeping on Austin breaking his foot off in Vince McMahon's #@#&.

John Cena is out for his Rewind match with Big Show. Austin leaves, but eyes Show coming down the ring. This is really a rewind (WM20) because it's the same thing every time, all building up to a spot for Cena to show how damn strong he is.

You can't see me, except here comes Batista. Chokeslam from Show, one, two, kickout. Attitude Adjustment, Batista steps to the ring, Cena drops Show, Knocout punch, Cena gets pinned.

I guess that means Cena loses his title shot against Batista at 'Mania, since that loss to a tag team wrestler should drop him well down the rankings.

There's a Cool "Spear" video from Edge versus Chris Jericho at WrestleMania.

Steve Austin plays a professional wrestler, I mean, MMA fighter in his new movie "Damages." Whatever he plays, Patty Hewes would kick his ass.

Wait, no "s". That's probably a good thing.

Evan Bourne faces Sheamus, who starts a promo only to crack Bourne over the head with the mic and squash him flat before the match starts.

When Sheamus was growing up he idolized a man so selfish he would do anything, such as turn on his best friend, to make it to the top. Triple H was The Man.

I'm going to beat him so decisively at WrestleMania it will be a turning point in his career as well as mine. The Celtic Warrior will take the King of Kings' throne.

Strong promo.

Shawn Michaels wants to know if Steve Austin thinks he can beat the Undertaker. "You can, but I don't think you will."

"I came back after our match at WrestleMania 18. I can end the streak," Michaels tells Ausitn.

Chris Jericho chests up. H can't wait for Undertaker to destroy Michaels. HBK is going to send Taker a message by destroying Jericho. Whoa, slow down! Maybe you ought to think about winning the match first.

Kelly Kelly faces Maryse in a non-title match. Maryse wins, then kicks her in the ribs. Then all the Divas fight. Everybody's getting paid, but no one's getting pushed at 'Mania.

Shawn Michaels faces Chris Jericho. Oh yeah, Chris Jericho is World Champ, not that Michaels or anyone else much cares. Good, heated match. Jericho smartly walks out when HBK cranks up the bus. He's counted out, but as he taunts HBK from the ramp Edge jumps him from behind, throws him in the ring and...

Spear!

This a solid show so far, focused on the top issues between the top stars at WrestleMania.

Hey, Austin's co-star in his new movie is Walton Goggins from "The Shield," who is a great actor.

Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase is announced WrestleMania, while Randy Orton faces Triple H next on Raw. Guess which opponent and match Orton takes seriously.

The Game faces Randy Orton in another Rewind. I wonder if Triple H is as happy with his spot on the WrestleMania card this year as he was last time. I wonder the same about Orton.

Triple H hits the Pedigree, Legacy hits the ring - and Randy Orton, while Sheamus punts Triple H.

There was a time in my lifetime when Gorgeous George, the new WWE Hall of Fame inductee, was the most recognized name among the general public in all of professional wrestling, and that was after his death.

Wow, "The Sensational Intelligent Destroyer" Dick Beyer, Bob Geigel, and Dick Steinborn are on WWE TV in 2010. Whatta world.

Batista squashes Whatever Happened to Kofi Kingston with a Batista Bomb. Their promotion of Batista as a killer heel continues to be spot-on, as does his performance. Batista is positioned as a tremendous favorite against that loser, John Cena.

Pete Rose attempts to rehabilitate his reputation by guest hosting Raw next week.

Bret Hart limps out on one crutch to sign his contract to wrestle Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania.

The contract signing abruptly halts when Hart tells Steve Austin he couldn't possibly wrestle because he broke his leg in a car wreck, and Austin excuses him from the match.

No, that's not it.

Hart sits a leather chair, awaiting McMahon's entrance in the ring. McMahon leans over to threaten the hurting Hart, but the glass breaks and McMahon flinches.

"Sit!" Austin tells McMahon.

Austin does the talking which means Mr. McMahon isn't lording it over Bret. He orders Stu Hart into the WWE Hall of Fame. McMahon winces but he doesn't object. The Hart family will be there, and they're all dysfunctional derelicts.

You can sign your contract and take your beating like a man. The contract is iron-clad.

Hart can beat him with one leg. He wants it to be a no-hold-barred match. What do you think of that?

"Hell, yeah." Once again, Bret has screwed Bret. Half the crowd believes it. Bret signs the contract, although Mr. McMahon hesitates, then bangs the table and signs it.

Austin tells Mr. McMahon he's looking forward to seeing him get the worst ass-kicking of his life.

He leaves.

"One more thing. Ah, I'll let Bret tell ya."

Mr. McMahon turns around to see Bret's cast sitting on the table, and Bret just looking at him.

This time, Vince Screwed Vince.

This was as disciplined and focused a wrestling show as WWE has done in years.
