MITCHELL'S TAKE
Mojo Mitchell's 3/2 Raw Stream of a Surprise Main Event, Triple H Back To What He Does Best, Jericho's Pit, and No Cena at WrestleMania?

We start with a re-edited video of Triple H's awful promo from a week or so ago where he finally admitted he was a member of his own family and he was going for revenge against Randy Orton. They edited out all the grunts and shrugs, so that helped.

Jerry Lawler announces that Edge will defend his title against John Cena tonight. I wonder what that's about? This seems like another of Vince McMahon's last minute decisions since you'd figure they would have promoted this match for rating's sake if it was planned much in advance.

Chris Jericho has re-created the old Piper's Pit set on the ramp. Is it Piper he faces again? He shows the famous Pit where Piper conked Jimmy Snuka on the head with the coconut.

Jimmy Snuka comes out, looking like Chief Jay Strongbow when he was an agent. If Chris Jericho pulls off getting a great segment out of Snuka like he has Piper, Ric Flair, and Rick Steamboat, the notoriously bad promo guy, he does belong in the Hall of Fame.

Jericho slowly and softly tells the mean truth (some of it) about the Superfly. Snuka stands up.

"Brutha, I don't understand!"

Jericho throws the coconuts and bananas out on the table like Piper did all those years ago. He acts like he's going to make Snuka "re-live his past," but Snuka grabs the coconut from him, threatens him with it, and Jericho runs away.

Snuka poses to his old music. Jericho comes through the set to attack him and whips him with his belt. He then mashes the pineapple in Snuka's face.

Jericho did pretty much everything that could been done with Snuka, and, most importantly, continued his legends angle.

After the break Jerry Lawler is aggravated about Jericho's actions, but more like a veteran color commentator and not a legend who was going to challenge Jericho at WrestleMania.

Rey Mysterio vs. Mike Knox vs. Kane in a Money in The Bank qualifier. Why do they love to put little Rey in with these big slugs? Kane wins after stealing a pin on Knox from Rey so Kane goes to the MIB. Hopefully they have something in mind for Rey, since he is one of their bigger stars. I write that every week.

WWE highlights WrestleMania XII's overrated sixty minute Iron Man WWE title match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. "Get the hell out of the ring!"

Michaels cuts a good, confident promo about ending Vladimir Kozlov's undefeated streak tonight, then going on to Wrestlemania to end Undertaker's.

Mickie James & Kelly Kelly face Jillian Hall & Beth Phoenix. Melina & Maryse are bickering at ringside. KK pins Hall, everyone fights, Melina goes to help the Raw Divas, and Maryse crushes her from behind.

Randy, Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Ted DiBiase, along with a bunch of cops, head to the ring. Orton's going to choose which world champ he wants to face. Maybe he ought to wait to see who wins the main event. He immediately says he wants the winner of Edge vs. John Cena, since he understandably is going to press charges against Triple H tonight, since Triple H attacked him with a sledgehammer last week.

"Very soon, you're going to be going away for a very long time."

The pro-crime crowd boos.

Triple H is on the ramp with his sledgehammer. He's in complete control of his actions, he says. That won't help his case when it comes to trial. He walks to the ring and looks up at all the cops. This gets big heat at first, and then crowd waits to see what he'll do.

He slowly climbs to the ring apron. He tells Orton he took out the McMahon Family, and now he needs to face Triple H for the title at WrestleMania. He reminds Orton how he turned on him in Evolution after Orton won his first World Title. He says he's not a good person and he took what was his. Now Orton can put all of that behind him, but he made a conscious choice to run because he's "afraid, because deep down inside you're afraid you don't have what it takes."

Well, yeah, that's the definition of a heel.

Orton's psycho facial expressions tell the tale, His deep-voiced lawyer tells Triple H his client has nothing to say, and he should turn himself in to the authorities.

Orton buys it, if Triple H agrees they settle it at WrestleMania. Neither touches the other before then. If Triple H touches Orton without physical provocation he goes to jail, Orton gets the title, and there's no 'Mania for him.

Triple H: "Deal."

Orton taunts Triple H with how much he enjoyed slamming his wife down to the ground. Triple H reminds him that the last time they fought he "broke his collar bone. That was just business. This is personal. I'm going to break your neck."

Wade is right. Hunter didn't need to make that last threat.

Shawn Michaels face Bad Vlad Kozlov for the shot at 'Taker at 'Mania. What's the big deal about facing Taker? Kozlov just beat him Friday night. right? Shouldn't that count for something - like the big main event at WrestleMania?

Kozlov beats up HBK early on. HBK hits Sweet Chin Music and breaks Kozlov's streak - or at least limits it to Smackdown.

The lights go out, the spooky music plays, and Undertaker is on the ramp. He makes the throat-cutting motion while Michaels makes the serious face.

The next WWE Hall of Fame inductee is the big cowboy from Bixby, Oklahoma, Bill Watts. WWE has a hell of a class this year.

Edge defends his world title against John Cena. This is in John Cena's hometown of Boston. They did do that extra step of detail work in explaining that Raw GM Vickie Guerrero and Edge wanted the re-match after Big Show beat Cena on Smackdown (Shouldn't BS be the number one contender now?) and they wanted to embarrass Cena on his home turf.

Good match, good heat. I feel like I've seen it before, though, which is why I'm surprised, if this is a 'Mania main event, that it's on free TV so soon before the big show. Cena locks in his. hold but Edge makes the ropes.

Edge goes for his title belt to smash Cena but Cena gets it and hits him with it. The ref calls for the DQ, but he saw Edge grab the belt first so he calls it on Edge.

Edge crawls down to the ramp and puts his hand up to Big Show, who's standing there. BS doesn't take his hand. Vickie declares BS the number one contender for WrestleMania. Hell, he did beat Cena, like I said, on Smackdown.

Lawler points out that this means Cena might not even go to WrestleMania. The live audience is understandably flat for this. Now, they pay attention to wins and losses?
