- After watching the Rock Concert, I like that The Rock is able to channel his energies as a babyface and that he's stripping down his act a bit and keeping it simpler. The downside is there's only one more Raw before the Royal Rumble and I think people are rightfully let down that things in a verbal sense haven't gotten more interesting between Rock and C.M. Punk by this stage.

- Good promo from C.M. Punk after his victory over Brodus Clay. Also shorter than average for him, and that's a good thing. WWE shouldn't lean on him so hard to fill time in these three-hour shows just because he can carry 8-12 minutes. On occasion it works, but you don't want viewers feeling he's long-winded to the point of losing interest in his promos.

- Ric Flair was dignified at the start of Miz TV, but the "elbow-dropping the suit jacket" bit has become symbolic of Flair at his most pathetic. He's better off playing up his statesman legend image who lets loose at night rather than being the crazy old man who's become kind of sad. Meanwhile, Miz continues to be awkward in his role, and there didn't seem to be any sense to Flair passing the figure-four torch to Miz since there's just no connection between them.

- After the opening segment, there still doesn't feel like there is enough of a transition to give fans a reason to like Alberto Del Rio. They're about two-thirds of the way there, with Del Rio standing up for Ricardo and standing up against the obvious heel Big Show, but the announcers need to finish the deal by explaining how Del Rio really has changed.

- Entrance music playing for official WWE wrestlers makes sense, but when The Shield walks through the crowd, who are viewers supposed to think is deciding to play their music? I know they "need" the music from a production value standpoint, but imagine if Scott Hall and Kevin Nash had music when they invaded Nitro as "The Outsiders?" They wouldn't have felt like outsiders at all.

- After the main WWE TV montage, a collection of past opening themes for WWE Raw aired, although out of order. I remember how excited people in WWE were after they filmed the one that included the helicopter and everyone on the roof of the WWE headquarters (then "Titan Towers"). That was created as a way to mark the start of the New Generation campaign with Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Bret Hart, et al taking over for Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, et al. I'm glad they put this together, although I do wish they put them in strict chronological order - forward or backward.
