-- On commentary during the opening match, after Sheamus made a joke about a donkey, Antonio Cesaro dryly said, "That's not funny at all." I want to take that soundbite from Cesaro and just play it after almost every attempt at humor on WWE television.

-- The Kaitlyn vs. Aksana match had to be someone's idea of a joke. Aksana had Kaitlyn in a headlock for literally 3-4 minutes at the start. Even more ridiculous, anytime there was a tease of an escape, the sound sweetening went overboard like Rock just stepped onto the stage.

-- During Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio, it was nice to hear a real chant and not the sound sweetener making unrealistic noise. It's also a reminder of the type of enthusiasm that was routine for babyfaces to receive when promotions concentrated on creating heel heat and giving fans a reason to really root for and admire the heroes.

-- It's so strange how times have changed in that 30 years ago, if a former pro wrestler - which Josh Mathews is - said he had never been in a fight before, on so many levels that would be frowned upon if not gotten him blackballed. Because the idea that a wrestler never got in a fight outside of the ring wouldn't be something others would want anyone to admit to, but wrestling matches themselves would be considered, well, "fights" in and of themselves.

-- What is so strange about Hornswoggle and Khali's friendship? To be friends, do two people have to be within a certain range of similar height? It's just a strange and peculiar way WWE's announcers characterize their friendship.

-- Quotebook - JBL after Team Khali won: "That wasn't exactly Gotch-Hackenschmidt, but you got a victory out of it." I hope Mathews doesn't have to look up those names.
