Although we all had our opinions about how the WrestleMania hype with The Rock, John Cena, Undertaker, Triple H, Chris Jericho, and C.M. Punk might have been better, and while we all sat on the edge of our seats watching Brock Lesnar's return to WWE, one thing most of us didn't feel was apathy or a sense of diminished interest.

Last Monday changed that. It was a huge letdown to move from Cena vs. Rock and Cena vs. Lesnar, with other big names such as Undertaker, Triple H, Lesnar, and Jericho in the mix to Cena vs. John Laurinaitis. The C.M. Punk vs. Daniel Bryan was also a letdown, if only because it felt like a TV match that had been thrown out there previously without a lot of build up, and now it's something co-headlining a PPV.

Is Vince McMahon going to hold course tonight and try to make us care more about these storylines that felt like such a letdown last week, or will he find a way to add a twist that makes the letdown last week feel more like a set-up for a big improvement this week?

Not every week can feature The Rock or the return of Brock Lesnar or hype for WrestleMania and The Streak, but there's no reason to be so wholly unprepared to follow up on those big storylines with Bryan-Punk and Cena-Laurinaitis. Either they're throwing in the towel on the May PPV, resigned to it bombing, or they're delusional and think fans will consider that satisfying, or they just ran out of options and didn't plan ahead.

Tonight we'll get an idea of whether they are going to adjust course, and if it was part of a master plan or a desperate attempt to avoid a rapid ratings slide after the backlash to last week's disappointing show.
