Pro Wrestling Torch was established in 1987 by Wade Keller. One of the primary traits PWTorch has been credited with over the years is assembling the best and most diverse staff of columnists with broad knowledge, but also areas of specialty where they have a particularly strong grasp of history. Every day PWTorch.com presents that team of writers answering your questions, some of which are fact-based and others of which are opinion-based. Either way, we've got you covered with Bruce Mitchell, Pat McNeill, Sean Radican, Greg Parks, James Caldwell, and Wade Keller. Collectively they have over 80 years working for the Torch, writing about wrestling and studying industry history and trends.

If you have a question you'd like us to respond to, send your question to askpwtorch@gmail.com. I, along with the Torch staff, will address you questions in this feature and also the “Ask PWTorch: All-Star Panel” edition which is also published most days here at PWTorch.

PWTorch reader Reg from London asks: I think it is fair to say that there's a general belief that Seth Rollins is a natural face and Dean Ambrose is a natural heel, but is it the case that those who hold this belief are actually wrong? It seems to me that Rollins is brilliant at being unlikable, as opposed to Ambrose who would almost certainly be cheered as a heel, you know, because that's what modern wrestling fans do! Also, Dean has been on fire as a face and has been much better than perhaps a lot of people expected, maybe to the point where his long-term future is as a good guy, and not a villainous character. The same can be said of Rollins. What are your thoughts on the situation?

PWTorch columnist Pat McNeill answers: I believe WWE made Seth Rollins a heel and Dean Ambrose a babyface because people were expecting it to go the opposite way. To WWE's credit, it's worked out very well. I knew Rollins could work as a heel, because I saw him do it in Ring of Honor. I know Ambrose is a good heel because I've seen his work in Dragon Gate USA. Most of the reason Ambrose is over is that his character does what he wants and doesn't care about pissing off The Authority, which is the opposite of how most of the other babyfaces act.

PWTorch columnist Greg Parks answers: This could be a situation where both are really strong as faces and heels. Ambrose is certainly doing well as a babyface, and Rollins has been good enough as a heel. The opposite belief likely stems from Rollins's offense, which is better suited to be a babyface. But I do think both are good enough, and have enough experience, to play either side of the fence.

PWTorch editor Wade Keller answers: Because of Rollins's more high-flying style, yes, a lot of people assumed he'd be the better face. Instead, he's turned out to be a great heel. He's one of my favorite heels in a long time because he's so sniveling and cowardly. He has the traits and even the vocal tone that made Josh Koscheck so unpopular with UFC fans over the years. Dean Ambrose seemed like he'd be a great rebellious babyface as much as a great heel because, well, he's just such a compelling person to begin with. They're both landed in a good spot and have played their roles convincingly well.

PWTorch reader Adam A. asks: Muhammad Hassan. I liked him as a wrestler and wanted to see how well he'd do in the long run. Then the July 4, 2005 Smackdown happened and that was pretty much the end. What was WWE thinking?! Well, now enough time has passed since, so my question is this: Will WWE be willing to bring him back now and start a new? Will Hassan even be interested in coming back? Shawn Davari was able to return not long after that incident, so will Hassan be able to without any controversy?

PWTorch columnist Pat McNeill answers: (1) Controversy creates cash. (2) Evidently not. (3) Evidently not. (4) It's not going to happen, so we'll never know.

PWTorch columnist Greg Parks answers: From what I recall, Hassan pretty much left the business behind to focus on acting. I'm sure he has a bad taste in his mouth for how he was used and how his run ended. With WWE being PG, I'm not sure this is the hot-button issue they want to deal with right now, either. It's a line WWE couldn't help but cross the last time he was around, and they've already got Rusev playing the foreign menace.

PWTorch editor Wade Keller answers: Hassan wasn't such a special talent that WWE would bring him back after all this time unless he was on the indy or international scene just tearing it up and really making a name for himself. Drew McIntyre, for instance, might be brought back into WWE if he manages his career well, builds a stellar reputation on the indy and international scene, and WWE has a spot for someone like him with more experience in the future. Hassan just isn't on their radar and there's probably a dozen guys in Developmental waiting for a spot that are ahead of him, not to mention probably 100 guys out there on the indy scene actively wrestling regularly who are far, far ahead of him in line.

PWTorch reader Blaine S. asks: Why hasn't WWE put together a DVD set on Bruno Sammartino yet? Does much of Sammartino's career still exist on tape?

PWTorch senior columnist Bruce Mitchell answers: A ton of Bruno Sammartino main events exist on tape since WWF started televising house shows from Madison Square Garden, the Philadelphia Spectrum, and the old Cap Center in Landover, Maryland. They're pretty amazing to watch, in that Bruno is the hero's hero and the fans are really with him. There's not a Bruno Sammmartino DVD or streaming special yet probably because for all intents and purposes he retired from the ring in the early-'80s. It is kind of ridiculous that there isn't a Bruno section of the WWE Network.

PWTorch reader Charlie M. asks: Aside from a choppy Ustream service, is there any way I can watch New Japan's G1 Climax tourney? Will the 2014 tourney be released in DVD in the States? Thanks guys.

PWTorch columnist Sean Radican answers: The G1 Climax 24 shows are no longer available on Ustream, but I would like to note the picture was never choppy for me through that service and the only problem I had was the show occasionally freezing. You can buy most or all of the G1 Climax 24 DVDs at RudoReels.com. They are also working on putting the entire tournament on Blu-Ray. I would give a high recommendation to waiting for the Blu-Ray release if you can, but the DVDs should look good.
